Brit’s call US for help n they overthrow the Iranian gov to save oil access. - Anglo- Iranian Oil Company rebrands as BP🙃 - PM had been Zoroastrian not Muslim. Cuz this isn’t bout religion… AND they have used religion to be grotesque to the people of the land. - Islamic Revolution (1979) impacts the whole region. Obvi Iran the most. - US haaaate it here n give Sadaam funds n guns to handle it - Iran Iraq war (1980-1988) no winners - Gulf war (Aug 2, 1990) Iraq invades Kuwait - Occupied for 7 months - US come in and liberate us in 100 hrs - US bases in Kuwait not forever - Western intervention doesn’t look the same for all - Do better Stop minimizing our lived experiences. Gracias a Dios. ‎.الحمدلله 🧿🌻🪬 The roller coaster of emotions is wild and daily😅 The imposter syndrome, the shock (cuz like, huh???🤯), and honoring the calling, regardless of my human forms fear, has been insane. Never, in my wildest dreams could I have imagined this even being a chapter in my book. DR. HANA???🫶🏽😭 ((Side note: my Apa, El Viejo (grandpa), has been calling me Doctora Hana since I was little. Not he knew this whole time?!? 🤍🕊️🤍)) I am millions of prayers, tears, du3aa, agua benditas, mai zam zam and las velas. I am here cuz of so many that participated in my life, in this life time and before. I am the heartache of those who didn’t have the privilege to get an education, those who were written off by how they spoke or looked, passed up, lied on, those yearning to speak, to be seen. I am the, “speak, even if ur voice shakes.” I am, ONLY because they were. It will always take a village. The village may change, but the work of the previous ones live on in the work u do. To all the villages I’ve been gracefully raised by, thank you. Thank you to anyone one whos believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself, anyone who’s prayed for me, those who made sure my name was published too (🐣💛I love u my lil powerful ducklings!), stood up for me, cheered for me, shown up for me, loved on me, spoke my name in rooms I wasn’t in, saved me a seat at the table, broke bread with me, read my work, supported me n most of all just seen me- all of me. I hope the work I do will make y’all proud! 😭💖🧿 I’m so grateful to still be breathing beyond each of those, “this is the end.” When I tell y’all, this is BEYOND MY WILDEST DREAMS… wheewww😭🤍🪬 God, really showed out on this life of mine. The only way I can ever give back what was given to me is by being of service. I clearly have no clue what life has in store! I’d like to thank thee Academy… Jk. Kinda. I’m extremely humbled to have seen the work we do on the big screen. @jacopo.fantastichini did an absolutely incredible job of touching on so many aspects of our work, in the time he spent making this. Thank you so much for the work you put into this and using your platform to share our work with the world🫶🏽 I was so emotional!!! I cried nearly the whole time 😭🤣🥹Like, THATS US!!! This is really who we are. So often, we’re deep in it that we don’t get to take a step back and appreciate who we are, as a whole. I’m so grateful to be on a team where every single person is necessary and invaluable. In all my years of being around the entertainment industry, I never imagined my first red carpet moment would be for me being myself. The confirmation was a spiritual experience. #weirdnesssrants I want to understand the thought process behind the justifications when weaponizing religion.🧠 How does one build their spiritual moral compass when using religion selectively?🧐 At what point do we acknowledge the dangers of this and name the hypocrisies we see? And we do it becaaaaause we do know God and know that integrity is a very important piece of our spiritual progress. Our character is the testimony that ppl witness when knowing someone has a deeply personal and intimate relationship with a God of their understanding. At least that’s what I’ve come to learn.💖 ((Tinfoil hat ps: I don’t believe the narrative of 911. I think it’s very intense to have a grown up brain, witness alllllll the destruction that took place and think it makes sense that the only things that managed to survive in all that was the Arab Muslim passports. If that is what you choose to believe, because as adults we get to gather information and make our own decision, then that’s on u. I don’t think it matters anyways, because the loss of life was a tragedy that changed all of our lives forever. #weirdnesssrants There’s much more to this convo and I’ve recorded this too many times😭I’m leaving it here for now. I really hope we get to a place where men can hear us and show up instead of looking for reasons why they don’t have to n why this doesn’t involve them. Like, when are men gonna join us in calling men that are negatively men-ing out? It’s bad for the brand and we’re tired 😭 We can read comments sections of tearing women down all day long… We see gender reveal videos of disappointment when it’s a girl… We see the narrative around dads n violence when discussing their daughters dating but never hear why…if men aren’t the issue then? 🧐 We see so many professions abusing their power like surgeons SA women when they’re unconscious… We see women in the military reportin but getting no help.. We see men who watch their homeboys be abusive n stay quiet… And this is the most basic view…even before adding in race, power dynamics, age, financial status, citizenship, abilities (n more), to the equation to show how much more risk exists🫩 Theres a million cases around the world on any given day of women experiencin men makin it to the public eye n there will still be men bringin up cases of women bein predators as if they cancel each other.🫩🫠 A small example for those who literally cannot hold men accountable and will double down on focusing on women instead of acknowledging the harm caused by men we can look at teachers because it’s where we’re seeing more women being reported (as they should be) n has become a talkin point for men who want to shift the focus. Men account for apprx. 57% - 96% of cases in school n more likely to target kids 12 and under. Women apprx. 4% - 43% n most likely to target teens 13 and older. This was a verrrryyy shallow search to show that studies do exist n ignoring info due to ur own personal vendettas is harmful to everyone. So as a man, before sayin some wild shit maybe a lil search can help u stay grounded in the present info ur receivin from a woman’s experience. Maybe ask how can u participate in this convo in a productive way? Bein willin to acknowledge it i by @weirdnesss
