I have no idea how Marciano survived.

When his mom and littermates were rescued from a vineyard, no one realized one puppy was still out there. For the next three months, there were occasional sightings, but no one could catch him. He was alone, eating grapes and fending for himself.

When animal services finally caught him at around 5 months old, he was covered in hundreds of ticks. He had scabs and wounds all over his body, including punctures on his neck, and he was terrified of people.

Somehow, his medical tests came back clear. With patient foster care, his puppy personality started to come out, and he’s trusting new people a little more every day. ❤️

I’m fostering Marciano this week to help assess him and learn more about what he needs. He’s looking for a foster home or an adopter. If you’re interested, message me—and please share him!

Sophie is a gorgeous 4 year old Doberman with @weirdrescue So lucky to be her foster for a short time. Here a few things I’ve learned about her in the last week. She loves love. Loves attention. Loves people. Loves going for walks and sniffing. Loves toys and will keep collecting them. She does not resource guard with toys, food or attention. She redirects well. The best girl. She likes squirrels and will try to eat flies. Loves her food and treats and will sit nicely for them. She likes other dogs and has met a lot, but I think she needs a slow intro and time to get to know the dog. Like a nice long walk together. Learning to love her crate and will go in there on her own, but still learning to be alone at home. She will whine for a little and then settle. Loves lounging and snores gently. She’s all around an amazing dog and would love a family of her own. by @weirdrescue

A couple weekends ago I got to help @weirdrescue save sweet girl, Sophie. She was deadlined, and as soon as I saw her sweet eyes, I knew I had to help. She is the sweetest girl-So loving, and friendly. When she’s excited she rears back like a horse. She loves peanut butter, but will only eat it on bread. She will stare you down for your Chipotle, only she spits chips out because she knows the best bite is the warm tortilla. She will follow you around like a shadow and is content to just lay her head in your lap.
Hoping to find Sophie the loving forever home that she deserves. Thank you so much to @weirdrescue for letting me be involved, and for all of their amazing work rescuing abandoned and forgotten Dobies/dogs

Happy Foster Friday!! Here are some of the faces that make the saving possible! We can’t tell you how appreciative we are for these beautiful souls who open their homes and hearts for these incredible animals! They are there to work through the slow first days of decompression, to see their personalities open up, to teach them things they may not yet know, and then to give them the incredible gift of watching them find their forever. Meet Merlot and Syrah 🍷🐾

These two little vineyard babies were found in a box near San Luis Obispo with their five sisters. Somehow, after such a rough beginning, they are nothing but sweetness, silliness, and pure puppy joy. Safe to say our co-ED Bri is in love…

Syrah #A342359 is brilliant, precocious, and absolutely full of puppy spunk. Merlot #A342355 the only boy in a sea of six sisters, is cuddly, gentle, and the perfect amount of Dobie derp!
