I don’t normally participate in AI trends but have this and the Dear Me letter a shot. I had to correct it making it clear that “I am ALWAYS the 1st partaker of my care.”

Dear Me,

I honor the way you have learned to return to yourself first.

Not as a last resort. Not after exhaustion. Not after everyone else has been tended to—but as a way of living. As a devotion. As a standard.
You no longer abandon yourself to be understood. You no longer stretch yourself thin to be received. That chapter is closed, and you closed it with intention.
Now, you move differently.

You listen when your body whispers, not just when it cries out. You pause without guilt. You choose what aligns, even when it’s inconvenient, even when it’s misunderstood. This is not selfishness—it is integrity.

There is a steadiness in you now. A quiet knowing. You don’t need to rush to prove your value or announce your becoming. What is true in you does not require performance.
Let your life continue to be shaped by that truth.

Let your care begin with you and ripple outward—not as sacrifice, but as overflow. Let your boundaries remain clear, not as walls, but as bridges that lead you back home to yourself.
And when you forget, even briefly, do not shame yourself for it. Just return. You have made a practice of coming back. You know the way.

Stay here. Stay rooted. Stay honest.

With deep respect & audacity,
ME!

I was able to see @lenawaithe play Trinity at @bmorecenterstage which was followed by a talkback with my idol since I was 8, @therealdebbieallen. Hearing Lena talk about meditation and stillness warmed my meditation teacher soul. Glad I was able to capture that moment.

Side note: The play is amazing and has been extended. If you’re anywhere near Baltimore, please grab a ticket.

Some seasons are hard. Some moments feel like they will last forever. But they won’t.

This meditation is an invitation to stay present without believing that the present is permanent. Whatever you’re moving through, remember: this moment is not the whole story. by @wellrestedyogi

“I will not have my life narrowed down. I will not bow down to somebody else’s whim or to someone else’s ignorance.” — bell hooks

Boundaries are not about controlling other people. They are about deciding what you will and will not allow to shape your life.

Sovereignty is the right to remain the author of your own life—even when someone else is disappointed, confused, or unwilling to understand your choices.

This week’s meditation: On Boundaries & Sovereignty.

Where have you allowed someone else’s expectations, reactions, or limitations to make your life smaller?

What would it mean to stop?

“Knowing how to be solitary is central to the art of loving. When we can be alone, we can be with others without using them as a means of escape.” ~ bell hooks

It’s been a long time since I shared the topic & a few points from my Saturday morning meditation (virtual) I lead @sankofayoga.

I’ve been immersed in the work of bell hooks again, particularly her work around the concept of love. I’m a huge believer in silence, stillness & solitude. This quote spoke to me in a way I had not imagined. by @wellrestedyogi

And finally, I completed an amazing course, The Womanist Way.” I can’t begin to tell you how amazing the experience was! by @wellrestedyogi

The first day of spring is my New Year—
a time to breathe, reset, and begin again.
Growth doesn’t rush.
It unfolds.

The Walk for Peace, a 120-day, 2,300-mile pilgrimage by Buddhist monks walking from Fort Worth, Texas, to Washington, D.C., to raise awareness of inner peace and mindfulness across America and the world. Moving steadily forward, step by deliberate step. I was blessed to witness this impactful moment in community.

Peace is an inside job first. To spread peace, you must be peaceful. by @wellrestedyogi
