September Wrap Up 💫🩷

💭….What was your favourite read of September?

My favourite was Nemesis Mine which I listened to on audiobook and ate 👏 it 👏 up 👏. But this month was generally a mixed bag with lots of really strong reads and also quite a few mediocre reads. I picked up The Ballad of Falling Dragons and honestly by the time I DNFd I was spite-reading 🤣 I hated a lot of things about this book and I’m very much hoping that it was just a wrong book at the wrong time moment because I loved when the moon hatched. Also I know The Winged Game is pictured but I did not actually finish it in time! 😭

October Books I WILL Be Reading
(At some point… 🤣)

💭 Q: Do we share any?

Adjacent to my October book releases post, here are the ones that I will be reading! I usually list them in the caption of my releases post but actually feel like it doesn’t really do the books justice 🥲

Some are auto buy authors, some are sequels, some just sound freakin amazing

Hoping and praying for at least one five star read in this bunch 🤞

Happy Autumn 🧡

For the past two years one of the books I’ve read in autumn without fail is the newest release by @lucyjanewood 💖 and the @waterstones editions look so good together 🤤

And with Disenchanted releasing, this year will be no different! 🥰 im hoping to read it in October now as im sooo very behind on my ARCs 🥲

💭 Q: what are you currently reading?
🫶🏻 A: I’m in turmoil tbh because I’ve tried these past few days to get stuck into The Ballad of Falling Dragons but guys I’m finding it SO annoying 😩😂 it’s a soft DNF for me at the minute so instead I’ve picked up Maiden by Georgia Leighton and I’m listening to The Someday Garden on audio which I’m enjoying 💖

October Book Releases 🎃🧡

Where horror and holiday romance reign, however i couldn’t fit both categories into this carousel alongside my usual other categories so holiday romance will be having its own post!🥰

💭 Q: Are there any you want to read?
🫶🏻 A: Look out for my post where I will be showing you the exact October releases I will be reading (at some point)

💭 Q: Or, have you got any plans for October?
🫶🏻 A: I really don’t have any cool plans to share this month which I’m enjoying 😂 I’ll be getting my head down, picking up extra shifts and trying to enjoy a bit of self care and arc reading 💖

🪄💫💖 𝑩𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝑻𝒐𝒖𝒓 💖💫🪄

I am SO excited to be sharing my thoughts on my spot on the tour for 𝐓𝐨𝐨 𝐇𝐞𝐱𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐨 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐞 which releases TOMORROW 🥰

💭 Q: you find out you have dark powers, are you loving it or hating it? 👀

Think: a quest to save the inn, a potential cure for the FMC dark powers, and having to share only one bed with a sexy co-worker.

I gave this book a rating of 4.25🌟 and finished it in one sitting. I found it addictive, adventurous and absolutely overflowing with personality.

This book had an incredible energy, plenty of humour, particularly between the grumpy-v-sunshine dynamic of the main character and her love interest, and a perfect balance of high stakes adventure with cosy entertaining moments that serve to soften the story.

One of my favourite things about this book was the magic system. The depiction of souleaters and their nefarious whims gave this story an edge, whilst it was a genius move to make the FMC one, contradicting with her super sunny personality. The way the magic system alone played out was fascinating, twisty and full of surprises. There’s enough complexity to make the magic feel intriguing without losing the sense of fun that runs through the rest of the book.

But we need to talk about the romance.

Because professional co-workers + yearning + a quest + forced proximity + ONE BED?! Somebody fan me and feed me grapes.

The romantic tension was delicious. Watching these two navigate their relationship while simultaneously trying to save the inn, survive the quest, and survive the torture of only one bed was exactly the kind of romantic chaos I wanted. Add in lust powder to complicate matters and things can get heated 🔥👀

The suffering. The yearning. The absolutely unnecessary levels of proximity. Stunning.

Ultimately, this was just such a fun book. It’s adventurous, magical, romantic and was my favourite read of August!🥰

A massive thank you to: @instabooktours @hotkeybooks @writesalotte for the early copy of this book. This is probably my only book tour post of 2026 and my god it was SUCH a good one!

💭 Q: if you had to pick a favourite cover, which one would it be? Or what book are you most looking forward to?

💭 A: it’s hard to choose a favourite cover this month but I’m really loving 𝗦𝘄𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗛𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿, 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗜 𝗕𝗼𝘄, and 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗪𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗗𝗼! The books I’m looking most forward to the most are 𝗘𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗲 𝟰, 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘆 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗮𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘀, and 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮 😍

August Wrap Up 🩷💛

This month I read 15 books across various genres: fantasy, thriller, historical fiction were my main genres but I also read from non fiction, science fiction, general fiction and a horror. My best book of the month was 𝗧𝗼𝗼 𝗛𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗼 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗲 - an addictive adventurous fantasy romp with a likable main character, a cool magic system, and a good old yearn between two colleagues/friends.
