Before receiving support throughBlack Freedom Fund’s Black LA Relief & Recovery Fund, Juicy Little Society (@juicylittle) was entirely self-funded, relying on fundraisers and its thrift store to sustain its programming. Krystal Lopez, the organization’s CEO, shares how this support helped provide the resources Juicy Little Society needed to continue distributing food and essential supplies to Dena residents following the Eaton Fire.. It’s a reminder that investing in community organizations also means investing in the practical tools they need to keep showing up. We’re proud to partner with Juicy Little Society and all of our Black LA Relief & Recovery Fund grantees as they help communities recover, rebuild, and remain rooted. by @weoutherealtadena

Our Sunday Funday is back and we’re turning the Community Corner into one BIG family hangout! Come eat, play, shop, laugh, chill all while supporting the work we’re doing in the community. 🩷 And YESSSS… THE PETTING ZOO IS COMING! 🐐🐰😂 Bring the babies because they are going to LOVE this one! We’re heading to Laemmle Glendale to watch @LightOnAHillFilm, a short film highlighting our very own Fair Oaks Burger and their impact on the Altadena community. 📅 Tuesday, September 15 ⏰ Meet at 2:00 PM 🎥 Film starts at 2:35 PM 🍽️ Eat + Meet immediately after! After the film, we’ll head to a nearby restaurant to eat, meet, and hear a special presentation. Congratulations are in order to Krystal Lopez (@missjuicylittle) and the Juicy Little Society (@juicylittle) who were recently recognized for their continued commitment to the community during the opening of their new Community Corner 👏 U.S. Representative Judy Chu (@RepJudyChu) honored the organization as her Congressional Nonprofit of the Year, with representatives from State Senator Sasha Renée Pérez (@SashaReneePerez) and Assemblymember John Harabedian also presenting recognition for their service to Altadena.
