Artists Ink and The Western Stage, are proud to announce Nahualli Theatre, a youth-driven Teatro project centered on stories of being Othered and the full-circle experience of looking back at the wounds of our past with hard-earned wisdom, strength, and self-acceptance. Through this apprenticeship students 13 and up will be offered college credit. Participating youth will work alongside professional mentors and artists to develop the skills and creative tools needed to bring an original theatrical work from an idea to the stage.

The Nahualli Theatre is open to students ages 12 to 18, and attending middle school or high school in Monterey County. The project is designed not only to develop young performers, but to give youth the skills to be writers, artists, technicians, leaders, and storytellers.
