♡ B + B ♡

I love how much time and labor goes into making a cake. I’ve always knit baby blankets for friends and family because it feels so special to spend hours thinking about this new loved one and wishing good things for them. It’s my favorite kind of act of service. Now, cakes very much occupy the same space in my mind. I got to spend hours baking and decorating this cake for one of my dearest friends to celebrate her love, reminiscing on our memories together, thinking of how much joy Bailey exudes and brings, and mostly, wishing for every good thing for Bailey and Ben in their lives and marriage. I love you both ♡ taken in Annapolis, Maryland by @westrivercakes

We’re in full fall mode!! 🎃 These Nightmare Before Christmas themed cupcakes and pumpkin cake are super fun but also - entirely artificial dye free! We are always happy to accommodate allergies and preferences whenever possible. You don’t have to sacrifice taste (or design) to serve treats that meet your needs. Happy Halloween!! 👻

The season of the witch is here ✨ this cake was 1 of 2 for the coolest, witchiest party celebrating Practical Magic 2 and communities of women under the autumn moon 🖤 the evening was complete with dry ice drinks, bath salt making and an all witch group trip to the Annapolis AMC to giggle together and enjoy new movie.

A 2 tier pink, glitter leopard print, smith island (!!!) heart for a perfect diva!! Elise celebrated her birthday at @hotelulysses in Baltimore (peep the washington monument in the background) so I had to incorporate their iconic pink leopard print carpet into this design. 💖🐆💖 Happy birthday, Elise! taken in Baltimore, Maryland by @westrivercakes

Happy Fall! My favorite part of this cake was the client’s story - we did strawberry cake with vanilla buttercream for the top tier because her grandfather made it for her birthday every year as a kid 🧡 This order was placed months ago and it was so lovely to finally make the cake with the changing season 🍂 I loved hand painting these leaves and adding all of the glitter, metallic details. Congratulations and happy (early) birthday, baby! 🍁 #tieredcake #annapolis #dmvbaker #fallcake #autumn taken in Annapolis, Maryland by @westrivercakes
