Last week at the West Side Creative Hub, we had the pleasure of welcoming Anastasia Jackson, Director of the Office of Small Business Access with the Delaware Division of Small Business @delawaresmallbusiness , for a Small Business Foundations workshop! We’re grateful to bring resources, information, and connections directly to entrepreneurs in our community.

And of course, we had to show some love to one of our West Side businesses, Three Stars Pizza! We love supporting the businesses right here in our neighborhood. 🍕❤️

Today was a beautiful reminder that the things we dream about, talk about, and pour into really do come to life.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to sit down with WHYY and talk about the West Side Creative Hub, a storefront built for creativity, connection, and community.

What makes it even more special is knowing this space started as an idea between me and JaQuanne LeRoy, powered by West Side Grows Together, and has grown into a space where creatives and residents can connect, create, learn, and simply be.

I’m proud to co-manage what we’ve built together, …..we have so much more coming.

Just grateful. That’s really the post. 🥹✨ by @westsidecreativehub

Art becomes even more powerful when the community gets to be part of the process.

This past Saturday, we featured artist Brian Mills @brianmillsofficial as part of the West Side Creative Hub’s Artist Exchange Series during Open Streets Wilmington @openstreetswilmington , an outdoor community event that transformed Second Street, from Van Buren Street to Judy Johnson Park, into a space for people to walk, connect, create, and enjoy the neighborhood.

Brian invited residents to help bring “Vision for Judy J. Park” to life through a collaborative painting experience, guiding community members as they added their own creativity and vision to the piece.

Calling artists ready to share their craft with the community! 🎨✨

The Creative Arts Exchange Project at the West Side Creative Hub is all about artists sharing their skills, creativity, and craft directly with our neighbors.

We’re seeking proposals for projects that can happen during West Side community events or as part of Creative Hub programming. Think workshops, demonstrations, interactive experiences, and creative projects that spark connection and exchange.

Learn more about the Creative Arts Exchange Project and proposal process on our website www.westsidegrows.org/creativehub or drop a 💙 for the link.

Bring your practice into community. Let’s build something together. ✨

This project is supported, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency. The Division promotes Delaware arts events on www.DelawareScene.com by @westsidecreativehub

We are SO excited to launch our Creative Arts Exchange Projects! 🎨

Artists, this one is for YOU! Receive up to $500 to share your creativity, connect with the West Side community, and bring your ideas to life.

A huge thank you to the Delaware Division of the Arts @artsdelaware for funding this opportunity and helping us continue investing in local creativity and community connection. 💛

Proposals are being accepted now through November 30. Apply early because funding is limited!

Let’s create something amazing on the West Side! 🎭🎶🎨
