Last week at the West Side Creative Hub, we had the pleasure of welcoming Anastasia Jackson, Director of the Office of Small Business Access with the Delaware Division of Small Business @delawaresmallbusiness , for a Small Business Foundations workshop! We’re grateful to bring resources, information, and connections directly to entrepreneurs in our community.

And of course, we had to show some love to one of our West Side businesses, Three Stars Pizza! We love supporting the businesses right here in our neighborhood. 🍕❤️

75% of the proceeds benefit: West Side Grows Together

After the 9/11 attacks, no one could agree what should be done with Ground Zero. And so New York did something really crazy. They asked the people to decide. At a time when trust in democratic institutions is often strained, this story serves as a reminder that when people come together to listen, debate, and decide, democracy is at its strongest.

Directed by J.B. Sabey

We love to see positive community news! Repost from @greenforthegreatergood💙 Many thanks to the Master Gardeners and UD Cooperative Extension for coming out to the Rodney Reservoir Community Garden yesterday to offer a composting workshop. Thanks to all the gardeners and neighbors who participated. We learned a lot and had some great conversations about stewardship and systems in the garden. We look forward to working together to implement some new practices and to a follow-up conversation with Master Gardeners around the first of the year! by @westsidegrowstogether

Repost from @messiahsmarket , we love to see positive community news and our west side garden spaces restored. 💙 A HUGE THANK YOU TO WSFS BANK! 💚🌱

What an incredible We Stand for Service Day at our garden! We are so grateful to the WSFS team for showing up, rolling up their sleeves, and putting some serious love into our growing space. 🙌🏾

Together, we:

🌿 Weeded and cleared our growing areas
🧹 Cleaned and refreshed the pathways
🌱 Removed old plant material and prepared beds for what’s next
🪵 Cut and repurposed branches from previously removed trees to help build new garden beds — turning what could have been waste into a resource! ♻️
💪🏾 Tackled some of those BIG garden jobs that truly take a village

This is what community partnership and service look like. Every weed pulled, branch moved, pathway cleared, and bed prepared helps us continue building a space where our community can grow food, learn, gather, and connect with the land.

Thank you to everyone from WSFS Bank who spent the day with us. Your time, energy, laughter, and hard work made a REAL difference.

And we’re just getting started… 🌱✨

Many hands make light work — and community makes things GROW!
