The Power Shift was more than a theme. We watched it happen in real time.

Last Saturday, thousands of women, founders, and leaders came together at Landmark Centre for Wetech 2026.

Across the Main and Interview Stage, Career Studio, Tech Expo, networking experiences and PitchHer 2026, women were learning, connecting, and accessing opportunities around AI, careers, entrepreneurship and policy.

One thing was clear, women are not simply preparing for the future of technology. We are actively shaping and leading it.

Relive Wetech 2026 with us. The Power Shift has just truly begun ⚡

This is what agency looks like ⚡️

Women taking up space, creating boldly, and knowing what they bring to the world matters.

That’s why Wetech exists: to create spaces where women find each other, see themselves reflected, and own the value of their ideas and ambition.

At Wetech Conference 2026, we felt that come alive. The conversations, the people, the ideas, the energy. The Power Shift was felt across the room.

A huge thank you to our sponsors, partners, and every woman who showed up and made it what it was.

Earlier today on BBC News (@bbcnews), our Co-founder and President, Gabriella Uwadiegwu (@gab.uwa), spoke about the work at the heart of Wetech: ensuring that African women are not simply witnessing the next era of technology, but have the skills, access, and capital to lead it.

We are building stronger pipelines across the technology ecosystem, opening pathways to capital and markets, and supporting more women to build solutions that can scale. Because the future of AI, capital and innovation is being shaped now, and African women must be positioned to shape it too.

That is the work behind The Power Shift.

Tomorrow, at Landmark Center, Lagos, thousands of women, founders, and ecosystem partners come together at Wetech Conference 2026 to move that work forward.

See you in the room.

It matters who fills the room.

At Wetech 2026, we filled it with women shaping and leading the future of technology and entrepreneurship.

Because a power shift starts with who gets to be in the room and what they go on to do from there⚡
