POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Just a heads up, no long explanation, been in the plans for a while, it's just time. :)

I would truly love to connect in the real world, so pinning this way in advance to figure out how to do that. Also, I’ll probably be posting the crap out of this year, hehe. Thank you for sharing your self and your art with me! And thank you for checking out my art.

for those asking: email, phone, my uncool website, need for walks and coffee shop hangs…all will be in working order in 2027, I do believe! :)❤️ by @whatamilookingatt

“Hilario Bautista-D’Loma is at the edge of the market, and his ready smile is the last thing everyone sees on their way to the parking lot. It is easy to get caught up in the beautiful produce and the excitement of the gardens’ progress and miss out on the rich human lives and complex lived experiences that make up the heart of what the gardens are about.”

Read “Roots Taking Hold,” by Addie Studebaker @whatamilookingatt in the current fall issue and on our website. Link in bio. by @whatamilookingatt

Tiny work to try to capture real moments…finished pieces, unfinished pieces, sketches…each with little thoughts and descriptions of said moments. Honestly some of my most personal and favorite work from the past few years.

Some for sale, some NFS, some not pictured here or…anywhere! All at the Nave this weekend. If you’re interested in any of these, drop me a note. I’ll be adding the pieces for sale to my website, too. taken in The Nave Spenard by @whatamilookingatt

Playing with a stack of thrifted old photos and thinking about invisibility, nature’s reclamations, and how we “roll the past up like a carpet and take it with us into the present” (as I heard someone say once), even all the stuff not written down, the stuff we cannot see—post-Ohio trip.🌳 by @whatamilookingatt

In 2019, I had a few weeks of being kind of obsessed with Delaunay triangulation and Voronoi cells/Thiessen polygons, or at least my very simple understanding and then butchering of their principles. I learned about them in a mathematical concepts coloring book 🤓 which, in itself, was awesome.

Basically, it’s like you have a bunch of points, you connect them to make a bunch of triangles that don’t overlap. For the cells, you find the mid points on the triangle lines and then connect THOSE points to form a polygon that envelopes the original point at its center like a nucleus.

It’s satisfying. We’re talking the stuff that governs giraffe patterns and dragonfly wings. I want to play with these ideas again. by @whatamilookingatt
