Ok but seriously, as someone who still loves The Hunger Games from my high school days this felt like a refreshing take in the adult dystopian genre.

I fell inlove with the characters, Shade and Greyson. But honestly the strongest side characters I’ve read in a while; Callum, Lira, Jameson, Mikel, Maximus, Elara. They added so much depth and heart to the story (no pun intended🤪).

It was the perfect amount of spice to plot ratio! The plot really shines here, which is my favorite.

Shadera and Greyson are TRUE enemies to lovers, almost killing each other multiple times and then the forced proximity on top of it😮‍💨

I was rooting for so many people while praying on the Heart’s downfall.

I need book 2 immediately. What does a girl have to do to get an ARC😭

side note: The ending of this song is so Shade and Greyson.

This book was a great one to kick off my holiday book stack. I love Blake’s writing, it’s layered while still being an easy read. Even though this wasn’t as good as the Bright Falls series, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Think of it as a Hallmark holiday movie but make it gay and relatable 👩🏻‍❤️‍💋‍👩🏻

I’ve never met a couple I love more. Aiden and Lucie are perfect for each other, in every indescribable way. I love how Lucie pushes Aiden to be the best version of himself while simultaneously accepting him while he’s a work in progress. Lucie is strong and sure of herself, not playing any of Aiden’s games. I love Maya, especially her relationship with Lucie and her Dads (YES, 2 DADS).
There’s so many deeper themes: grief, misogyny, death and all are handled with the upmost care. This book is written beautifully. Just add it to your TBR already!

I’m crying, this is perfection. I’m obsessed and will be buying everything B.K. Borison writes for the remainder of eternity✨

I’m always skeptical when a book is 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 but this series deserves the hype. I’m obsessed with vampires so it’s no surprise that I love Bloodwing Academy. I love when you’re reading and you forget you’re reading. I even tried to pick up another book between books 1 & 2 and couldn’t stay away for long. The dragons took on a different role in this world than I was expecting but I still enjoyed the twist. I cannot wait for book 3 and to be back in this world with these characters🐉❤️‍🔥

Collecting memories and signatures this year📚✨ So many incredible signings this year! Meeting Tia Williams truly changed my life (not to be dramatic, but Seven Days In June IS my Roman Empire)! Finally checked off B&N Union Sq. and it was 100% worth the 4 hour commute.
