You never know what life will bring that includes the highs with the lows. Never did I think the highlight of my Fridays would be singing Liverpool Football songs at the top of our lungs on the way to football. How does a neatly 3 year old know this much about football baffles me. What he tells me is we love Liverpool Nanny not the Dingles 🙈🤣 by @whatdondidnext

Not quite sure what more could hit my training over the last month, weddings, birthdays, holidays oh and now 24 days till I climb a huge mountain I get a sore throat, cold and tight chest 😣 And only that the weather system El Niro is going to make it all a whole heap harder 🤯🙈 Who wants bloody hard not to be even harder anyway 🙈🤣 I'm leaving here a picture of sorrow 😭 What should have been a 5kPB week for me has turned into a let's push through this 5k and training being ill cause in 24 days it's going to feel a hell of a lot harder week 🤣 So please if you feel sorry for my sad face take a look at my fundraising page a give an old girl a little joy in her life this week 🙏🏼🙏🏼 🥰😘😘 sending much love https://givestar.io/gs/donnas-ftd-kilimanjaro-challenge by @whatdondidnext

We had the most incredible weekend meeting up with our Kilimanjaro team who honestly feel like old friends already. Meeting the inspirational family that sit behind @theftdbrothers & @theftdbrothersfoundation who looked after us as their own at the beautiful @wyevalleyviewbarns. It was a special weekend, with yoga by the wonderful @lauraprint, inspirational speeches by Ian & learning to breathe at altitude with @soundbathsandbreathwork who also shared how to hug with so much more meaning 🥰. Quizzes and hikes by our super fellow team mate @jack.went.up.the.hill and of course some wine and karaoke thrown in for good measure. I have laughed & cried and had every emotion in between but the biggest takeaway is the connections made this weekend without doubt will get us through some tough tough days ahead on this climb and as reality sets in I know those days will be hard. But not as hard as the diagnoses that Jordan & Cian have themselves, not as hard as the family who are supporting them has, not as hard as the challenge many in my FTD Kili team face on a daily basis. Still riding high on this one. The London Marathon is so hard to get on , near enough impossible by ballot and equally hard to get a fundraising place. So to win a competition from buying a pair of runners with @newbalance and being 1 of only 10 winners out of millions of entries is what dreams are made of. I always have said there is only 1 marathon for me and that is The one and only London Marathon. My home town ❤️ There will be no fundraising for this one but I will be flying the FTD flag high supported by NewBalance. The ultimate feminist & philanthropist who did so much for her local community but also children all around the world. I loved Dolly Parton not just because she was one of the worlds biggest superstars but because she was a gracious & incredibly kind and all round good person. So much has been happening for us as a family this has felt like the first time to be able to share this more widely.

🏔️ I’m taking on Kilimanjaro! 🏔️

On 18th October, I’ll be starting one of the biggest challenges of my life by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
I'm incredibly proud to be doing the climb with the @theftdbrothers , supporting their charity theftdbrothersfoundation and their fight to raise awareness, fund vital research and ultimately help find a cure for dementia. 💛

Every difficult step will have a purpose & every donation will make a difference.

My trip is completely self-funded, so every penny donated goes towards the cause.
