The article dives into my journey in the fashion industry and the growth of my sewing workshops; the heart behind why I teach, and the impact these classes have had on the people who’ve taken them.

It’s a reminder that when you stay consistent and keep building something you truly care about, opportunities have a way of finding you.

Our wedding was everything we dreamed of and more—every moment filled with love, laughter, and the sweetest kind of joy. 🥰

The weather, the details, the people, the emotions… it all came together perfectly, just like we’d hoped. ☺️

I married my best friend, my soulmate, and I’ll never forget the way we looked at each other as we said “I do.” 🥲

This day was the perfect finale to our unforgettable marriage journey. 🩷✨

One year ago today, we were in your hometown tying the knot the Indian way. 💍❤️

I never imagined I’d marry an Indian man, let alone celebrate our love in his beautiful country. But this experience turned out to be one of the most magical days of my life. ✨

Looking back, I can’t help but shed tears of joy, feeling so incredibly grateful—not just for the wedding itself, but for the privilege of spending my life with you, Monish, my forever love. 💕

You’re my favorite person, my best friend, my fellow paw-rent and my travel companion. You make life fun and joyful, letting your inner child run wild, creating laughter as much as possible. You are kind and generous, always looking out for others, whether it be family and friends or strangers. You have a huge heart and I’m forever grateful to call it my home. 🏠❤️

Happy anniversary, @monishthakore 😘 Cheers to many more beautiful years ahead! ✨

Spider-Man… but make it FASHION! 🕷️❤️🪡

Who says superhero inspiration has to stay in the comic books?! 👀

A few years ago, I challenged myself to transform the iconic @spiderman aesthetic into a one-of-a-kind dress for Comic Couture, a fashion design competition hosted by @houstoncomicpalooza !

And guess what?! This design took home 3RD PLACE! 🏆✨

What makes this even more special is that I participated in the VERY FIRST Comic Couture competition! Since then, Comicpalooza has brought the competition back three more times, giving local designers the opportunity to showcase their creativity through fashion inspired by the world of comics and pop culture.

From the bold red silhouette to the dramatic spiderweb overlay, this design was all about bringing a little superhero magic into the world of fashion! 🕸️✨

I’ve been a little MIA lately… because I quite literally disappeared to the other side of the world. ✈️🌏

@monishthakore and I had to make an unexpected, emergency trip to India after his dad’s health took a severe turn for the worse.

This trip was unlike any of our previous visits. For the first time, I wasn’t excited to board a plane to India. Instead of the usual anticipation and excitement, there was an overwhelming sense of fear, anxiety, sadness, and uncertainty about what awaited us on the other side of the world.

The past week and a half has been an emotional roller coaster, to say the least. There have been difficult days, heartbreaking moments, and plenty of tears. But even in the midst of it all, we managed to find little pockets of joy, laughter, and togetherness. Moments that reminded me just how precious time with the people we love truly is. ❤️

It had been almost three years since I last visited India, yet the moment I arrived, I felt right at home. Despite the circumstances that brought us there, being surrounded by family, love, and a sense of belonging was incredibly comforting.

Thankfully, Monish’s dad has slowly begun showing signs of improvement, something we are beyond grateful for. He’s certainly not out of the woods yet, but we’re holding on to every bit of progress and remaining hopeful for the days ahead.

As we continue navigating this difficult and uncertain chapter, I ask that you please keep Monish and the entire Thakore family in your thoughts. Send all the love and positive energy you can our way, and if prayer is part of your life, we would be incredibly grateful for those as well. 🙏❤️

The first day of fall means one thing… 🍂 I can FINALLY pull this Chanel-inspired suit set back out of my closet. ✨

I made this entire look using fabrics from @moodfabrics , taking inspiration from the timeless elegance of classic Chanel suits while putting my own spin on it. 🧵✂️

There’s something extra satisfying about changing seasons when it means rediscovering the pieces you’ve made and falling in love with them all over again. 😍

And THIS one deserves another moment. ❤️

🏅 MEDAL MONDAY 🏅 And this one feels EXTRA special. 🥰

Saturday I ran the Bronx 10 Mile (my second-longest race ever) and somehow held a 9:39 pace for all 10 miles, finishing in 1:36! 🤯🏃‍♀️💨

That’s the fastest I’ve run in a LONG time, and I genuinely think I have @astoria_runners to thank for it. Over Labor Day weekend, we ran 17 miles from Astoria Park to Brighton Beach - my longest run EVER. After pushing my body through 17 miles, 10 suddenly felt a whole lot more manageable. 😂

So THANK YOU, Astoria Runners, for constantly pushing me, motivating me, and reminding me what I’m capable of. 💙🩷

And the cherry on top?! 🍒 This was race number 9 of my @nyrr 9+1!

With my volunteer credit already complete, I’VE OFFICIALLY FINISHED MY 9+1 and earned guaranteed entry into the 2027 NYC Marathon!!! 🗽🏃‍♀️🏅

And even better? I’ll be running it alongside my husband, @monishthakore ❤️

I saved this fabric for YEARS waiting for the right project. 🥹🇮🇳

I bought it on my very first trip to India, so I knew I didn’t want to use it for just anything. With summer coming to an end, I finally decided it was time…and I turned it into the Clementine Dress using the free pattern from @moodfabrics ☀️🧵

I’m pretty sure I found the perfect project for this fabric. 😍

I MADE my wedding dress… and somehow I got to be a bride in it all over again. 🥹🤍

This summer I had the opportunity to model bridal gloves for NYC-based @wingweftgloves and the best part? I got to wear the wedding dress that I designed and made for my own wedding. 🥰

There’s something incredibly special about seeing a garment you poured so much time, work, and love into have a life beyond the day it was originally created for. And getting to pair it with these gorgeous bridal gloves made this shoot even more special. ✨
