Armenian food with Lebanese roots, and a Michelin Guide favourite for multiple years running. It’s a true family affair too: the Yacoubian brothers named it after their late mom and cook her recipes with a fine dining twist. @chefsebouh @talineto

What we ate:
🥟 Manti (Armenian dumplings)
🐑 Vochkhar (Ontario lamb chops with jajekh yogurt): INCREDIBLE.
🥬 Kaghamp (braised cabbage with fennel tahini): Do not skip!!!!
🥔 potatoes
🧀 Banru (a three cheese dip) with warm matnakash bread for scooping

Go hungry, go with friends, and order the lamb and the cabbage.

Japanese whisky, a golden glow, and a bathroom that deserves its own review. 🥃

Mizunara brings a little Tokyo to Toronto’s Entertainment District, with contemporary cocktails, local art and spaces that shift from intimate to social. I found the entire space so charming, with details weaved throughout. The bites we tried were solid and the mixology was top notch. Each bathroom was uniquely decorated and it was fun to explore them 🥰 the cocktail bar is in its early days, I hope it’s one to stay.

My favourite meal in Canada to date. And one I’ll be thinking about for a very long time.

Set inside a striking black barn in Jordan Station, surrounded by Niagara farmland and vineyards, Restaurant Pearl Morissette makes the landscape part of the experience. Through the dining room’s expansive windows, you can see the gardens that help shape the menu.

Chefs Daniel Hadida and Eric Robertson build their seasonal tasting menu around produce grown on the 42-acre estate, alongside ingredients from Canadian farmers, foragers and fisheries. French technique meets a deeply Canadian sense of place, with each course revealing how much possibility there is in what grows here.
The beverage program carries that same thoughtfulness: Pearl Morissette’s own wines, carefully chosen international producers, the wine pairing was spectacular.
What stayed with me was how it all came together—the creativity, the flavours, and the warmth of an experience that felt so considered.

No. 1 on Canada’s 100 Best for 2026, two Michelin stars, and No. 3 on North America’s 50 Best, with its 2026 Art of Hospitality Award. An extraordinary collection of accolades for a place that has become my personal benchmark. A perfect 10.0 on @beli_eats

A little Spain, a little smoke, and every reason to linger. 🍷🥩

Casa Rubia has arrived to the former Martine’s space behind Bar Raval, with Grant van Gameren, Hailey Burke and Fat Rabbit’s Zach Smith. Think Galician beef, whole fish, suckling pig and seafood from the wood oven, alongside Spanish wines, vermouth and sherry.

Celebrating one year of Liliana 🤍 Chef Marvin Palomo’s pappardelle master sauce has been cooking and evolving for a year, and the change since my last visit is incredible. Marvin’s signature octopus is always a must, and their famous black sesame millefoglie was the perfect finish.

What a lovely thing to return and taste the evolution. Happy first birthday, Liliana. 🥂 @marvinpalomo_ @lilianarestaurant
