I love this part of pressing and drying flowers, the way each one takes on a completely different shape and design.

What was once soft and full becomes something new, revealing little details you might not have noticed before.

There’s something about this man standing in his garden, surrounded by all these beautiful flowers, that makes me wonder about his life. What did this garden mean to him? Did he know each flower by touch, by season, by the way it grew?

A little look at what I’ve been creating with flowers lately.

Every arrangement I preserve comes with its own story. Some flowers come from weddings and celebrations, some from a funeral or a loved one’s life, and some are simply flowers that meant something to someone and deserved to be kept.

The flowers from my own wedding are a mix of blooms from my florist and flowers gathered from my grandpa’s garden.

I love taking these fleeting pieces of life and giving them a new place to live. I preserve flowers from weddings, funerals, birthdays, school dances, anniversaries, celebrations, and sentimental moments of all kinds.

I can also source the frame for you, whether that means finding a beautiful vintage frame, sourcing something new and modern, or using a frame you already love.

Because sometimes a flower is more than a flower. It’s a person, a place, a season, a day you never want to forget.

I collected a few leaves, bits of grass, and dried buds on a hike and turned them into the sweetest little fall arrangement. 🍂 I didn’t have a vase, so I reused an old glass pasta sauce jar, and honestly, I think that’s what makes it even better. It’s the simple things that feel the most special.

I tucked these flowers away to press, and today I finally get to see how they’ve changed. Each petal, each stem carries a little piece of memory, and pressing them feels like pausing time. Some flowers dry perfectly, others curl and shift, but I’ve come to love the way they take on a life of their own. Imperfect, yet still so beautiful.

I had no idea how simple granola was to make, now I don’t think I’ll ever buy store-bought again. I love starting with a base recipe and then adding whatever I have on hand, like flax seeds, chia seeds. Every batch feels a little different, but always comforting.

Here’s the recipe I followed (and tweaked a bit):
• 3 tbsp liquid sweetener (I used honey or maple syrup)
• 3 tbsp oil (I use olive oil)
• 1/4 cup nut butter (I didn’t add any this batch)
• 2 tbsp chia seeds
• 1 tsp vanilla bean paste + 1/2 tsp cinnamon
• 2 1/4 cups rolled oats
• 1/4 cup superfood (cacao nibs, flax seeds, etc.)
• 1/4 cup nuts (walnuts, pecans, pistachios, etc. (I don’t usually like to add nuts)

Bake at 250°F for 40–50 minutes, then let it cool completely before breaking it up. Makes your home smell like fall! 🍂

Karl Blossfeldt saw what many of us overlook, the quiet architecture of nature.

His close-up studies of flower buds reveal them not just as beginnings, but as works of art in themselves. Each curve, each fold, each tiny spiral feels both fragile and monumental. Looking at them, you realize nature has always been the greatest designer.

I visited @carpediemfloral beautiful home for her autumn edition cottage gardening class, and it stirred up so much nostalgia. 🍂 Growing up surrounded by flowers, I’ve always dreamed of one day tending to my own garden, a place where blooms and memories can grow side by side. Being here reminded me of those childhood days, and I left feeling so inspired.
