Did Tetudo until my taatiyaa tuti gyo 😭💀

This Garba workshop was INTENSEEEE! From be taali → tran taali → tetudo → popatiyu → dakla… heart rate at 151–156 BPM by the end

AND I finally learnt the barrel and managed a DOUBLE BARREL!!! Achievement unlocked

My favourite part is every time Vishrut introduces something new and looks straight at me like, “Tamney to avadtuj hase ne?”
…of course, haan, mane avde che 💅🏽

Current status: 6 blisters. No legs. Zero regrets.

From being a student in countless dance classes to finally standing on the other side of the room as a teacher… 🥹🩷

My first ever demo class was definitely an experience! Teaching made me realise that knowing how to dance and knowing how to teach dance are two completely different things. Breaking down the steps, explaining the musicality, finding different ways to communicate — especially when there was a language barrier — challenged me in ways I didn’t expect.

But by the end of the class, seeing everyone actually GET the steps, dance together and enjoy themselves made me so incredibly proud. 🥹

Different languages. Different backgrounds. Different levels of experience. But once the music started, somehow we all understood each other.

And I think that was my biggest takeaway from my very first class:

Dance truly knows no boundaries. 🩷

First class down, and so much more for me to learn as a teacher. ✨

This workshop was honestly beyond my expectations! ✨

Before booking, I was literally thinking, “Who even are these people?” And from the videos, I wasn’t even sure if the choreo was going to be my vibe… but EVERYTHING exceeded my expectations!

Vicky & Aakanksha @vickyakku , you both were so incredibly kind, and I absolutely loved the way you taught us. From the little games that helped us remember the choreo, to building our confidence stage by stage before the showcase—you made the whole experience feel so fun, comfortable and uplifting.

And this choreo was SUCH a chill vibe! A much-needed “breather” after all the high-energy, highly challenging choreos I’ve been doing lately. It felt so good to just relax, groove and enjoy the music.

So, so glad I decided to go for this workshop!

And thank you @mansimaheshwaripatel for being the most amazing dance partner! 🫶🏼💃🏻

Eat. Sleep. Dance. Repeat!

Flying to Dubai for a quick getaway somehow turned into a full-on DANCE weekend — powering through 5 incredible choreos by the queen herself! 👑

By the last choreo, my body was DONE and my sciatica had decided to make an appearance… but of course, the final song had to be THE song I’d wanted to learn when she was in Singapore.
So there was absolutely NO WAY I was sitting this one out.
Running purely on adrenaline, obsession and determination at that point.
My body may have given up, but my heart was VERY happy.
Dubai, you really gave me the dance weekend I didn’t know I needed.

Life got so serious that I forgot how much I loved to dance!

There was a time when my career had me constantly travelling. I was grateful for the opportunities, but somewhere along the way I lost time with my family, drifted from friends, and had little to no time for the things that made me happy. The stress eventually caught up with me, and so did the weight.

Last year, I made one of the hardest but best decisions for myself—I switched to a local role. It wasn’t just a career change; it was choosing balance. It gave me the chance to rediscover the hobbies I had neglected, especially dance.

Coming back wasn’t easy. I was rusty, my confidence had taken a hit, and I had to work hard to find that spark again. But with every class, every missed step, every improvement, I slowly found my way back to the version of myself I thought I had lost.

Sometimes the biggest career move isn’t the one that takes you further—it’s the one that brings you back to yourself. 🩷

Thank you, @mohika102 , for bringing out my ultra-soft side. 🩷 Tere Naina from My Name Is Khan is such a beautiful song, and your choreography captured its emotion so perfectly. I’m so glad I got to be part of this.

And thank you, @mansimaheshwaripatel , for convincing me to come. So grateful. ✨ taken in Singapore / Singapura / 新加坡 / சிங்கப்பூர் by @whereisnivvy

Kiran and his drama 🎭
Your shenanigans have us laughing every single time. You have this amazing ability to make the class feel lighter and the choreography so much more enjoyable. That’s a gift—and definitely your superpower. 💫

Still alive after 4 high-energy songs… and still reeling from the weekend. 😮‍💨💃

Thank you, Om, for being the sweetest and for being the ultimate hype man. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to perform two solo songs—it truly meant the world to me. The little girl in me who has always loved to dance is smiling from ear to ear. ❤️✨

Happy Birthday, and we shall continue the celebrations in Malaysia 💃🏻🫶🏼
