To the series that saved me in my postpartum depression. To the series that drove me to write and start a bookstagram. To the series that saved me when I lost friendships. I’m forever grateful. Truly. It’s not just a book series to me. ⚔️

🖤 Happy Release Day to @abookshelfofmagic!!!! 🖤

Here’s my spoiler free review 🫶🏻

The Edge of Darkness was simply, beautiful. ⚔️🖤.

Let me start with if you haven’t started the Lies of Mortals, what on earth are you doing?! RUN! The artwork, the side by side STUNNER on your shelf, and a gorgeous action packed story…. What more could you want? ✨

Back to the spoiler free goods!

As much as I loved The Lies of Mortals, this one was incredible!!!! Every one knows that I love fantasy with world building AND multiple POV’s…. This one made me love TLOM series even more! I cannot elaborate how much I love this action packed epic fantasy!

Auren and Niall are just everything. Their banter and chemistry…. 🔥🖤

“I need to make something perfectly clear.” She dips again, eyes focused on her task. “Should you die, I will not fall quietly into grief.” There’s a squeezing sensation in my chest, directly below the cloth now swiping over my left pectoral. “Moonbeam—” “I will not simply accept your absence as collateral for the privilege of having had you in the first place, nor will I carry myself with the same merciful poise you possess,” she bites out with regal fortitude, dipping the cloth. Strangles the water free with such might her knuckles pale. “I’ll wreck the world to avenge your death, Kaan Vaegor.” 🖤

This. Book. Was. ♾️. Stars.

When the Moon Hatched was my favorite book of 2025, so to no surprise, this has been my favorite book of 2026 so far! It took me a long time to read, but I savored every single page. I am still obsessed with Kaan and Raeve, and I adored the other POV’s!!!!!

Run. Run. RUN if you haven’t read When the Moon Hatched.

@abookshelfofmagic THANK YOU. Thank you for creating this world and sending me these beautiful ARCs. You’re a gem, and this world is magnificent. Also, I can’t (well, begrudgingly can) wait for the next one. 🖤

🌙 Hi everyone, if you’re new here I’m @whimsyandwingspans 🖤. @pocketsizedkatt recently tagged me in a post about herself, and I thought I’d hop on this lovely whimsical train!

🖤 My name is Allie!
📖 I’m an avid reader!
🌙 I love traveling the world, drinking matcha, going to concerts, hiking, photography, fashion, and going to Disney!
🥋 I’m a black belt in JKA Shotokan, and I’ve trained since I was 3 years old. My Dad owned a dojo my entire life, and I was, what you call, a dojo rat. I also met my husband through Karate and we still train.
💫 My bachelors is in Neuroscience and I specialized in Animal behavior. Now I stay at home with my tiny dragons!
🌌 I was a competitive cheerleader my entire life and did a few years of professional cheerleading!
📚 I have too many favorite books and series, so I can’t tell you my favorite. All I can say is that I love fantasy and Romantasy. I’m also stubborn and won’t pick up a contemporary 🥴🫠.

Welcome to my whimsical corner of the internet. I’m happy you’re here 🖤

If I tagged you, please feel free to post about yourself, but absolutely no pressure 🖤

Xx.

⚜️ Plated Prisoner Series ⚜️

A series that I will recommend OVER AND OVER AND OVER again!!!!! I cannot elaborate how underrated I think these books are, and how quickly you should RUN to them.

Slade is one of the BEST MMC’s, and I’ll die on that hill.

@ravenkennedybooks - my love for these books are unconditional. 🖤.
