It’s (99.9%) finished! 😄 This is my first mural and I’ve had such a great experience painting it, it’s taken me a bit longer than I thought it would 😂 and I’d still be painting for days if it wasn’t for the huuuuge amount of help from @laurie_melia_ceramics this past week 🙌❤️ Also big thanks to Grace and @element.artsandculture for all the support along the way! November is officially my favourite month for 2022😄❤️

Went to check out my ladies on the big screen today at Northbridge Piazza! I’ve often admired other artworks on the big screens in the city so it feels beyond cool to have my own collection up there! There’s about 30 pieces in the exhibit and it’s on the screen at various times each day through November and December, for any Perth folks interested in checking it out! ❤️

I’ve really enjoyed seeing all the #artvsartist posts the last few days, so of course I’m joining in! It’s always fun to look back on a year of drawings - I do draw an awful lot of black haired ladies, don’t I? 🤣

This was the year that I changed up from my old triangle nose, felt like such a big step at the time!! I feel like each new year brings a slight evolution in terms of style - who has been here since my no mouth era???(even more points if you’ve been here since my sloth brooch days 😂❤️🙌).

New friends or old friends - a big thank you to EVERY ONE of you who is here! I never thought there would be so many of you ❤️ I truly appreciate every like, comment, message & share - it means more than you know! Looking forward to an exciting year ahead 🌸🙌 ✍️

Thinking about life, the universe and how much I appreciate this IG community. Just popping in to say thank you so much for all the amazing support with the art theft dilemma. You’re a good bunch! ❤️🥰🙏 by @whistleburg

A little milestone that no artist enjoys. A lovely follower recently alerted me to the fact that SHEIN has stolen and sold quite a few copies of my artwork. 🫠

I have to admit, there’s a tiny, unhelpful part of me that’s kinda flattered that that many people like my drawings enough to put them on their walls. Especially considering I suck at the selling side of things 😂

But obviously there’s a difference between people enjoying your art and a giant retailer helping themselves to it and profiting from it.

I know it’s a pretty well known part of sharing our art these days, but it’s depressing to think it’s something we’re all just expected to shrug about.

And while I’m not exactly losing sleep over prints I wasn’t actively selling in the first place, this kind of thing does undercut the artists who are trying to make an actual living from their work.

As a side note, I actually think this drawing with the words ‘SHEIN STOLE MY ART’ over the top would make a great print. I wonder if they’d rip that off. 😆 by @whistleburg

Yeehaw!

Another look at a card design (again with different words to make it less ‘birthday’!😄). I also wanted to say a big thanks to everyone for the warm welcome back! ❤️

A closer look at this little fairy, with some different words for today ✨

For anyone else needing the reminder today to just do the thing and not take things too seriously! 😄❤️

Just popping back on here after a short break of almost two years 😅 the creative block was very real!

I’ve been quietly working in the background with my sister @laurie_melia_ceramics on a joint creative project and we thought it was probably time to start sharing things again! (But why am I so nervous right now ?? 😅).

Here’s a little peek. More coming very soon!

If you’re still here, hello! It’s lovely to be back 🤍

Hi friends! Hopefully you can still see me. I’ve been pretty terrible at social media-ing lately (no reason, the usual excuses 😆) but I am coming back - here’s a fun cover I did for @thesuburbanreview March edition.

I haven’t had as much time for drawing in the last month or so and when I do it feels all moody, but just going with it! 💙
