I was so honored to contribute to the Fall 2026 issue of Milieu magazine with "Savor the Season," a piece I wrote and styled all about those precious weeks between summer's end and the holiday chaos. @milieumag it's always a dream to share pages with you. by @whiteinkcodesign

When I designed this flower sink 18 years ago I was focused on it looking very similar to one that I had seen in England and it just being very pretty. I also wanted it to be big enough to bathe my dogs, but I had absolutely no idea that the tall backsplash with a little shelf would make the perfect spot to bring my expired orchids back to life for a second and sometimes third time around -- to be fair, a very talented, plant wizardy person showed me how to do this. And here's a fun fact: until the pandemic, I never even had a houseplant.
One more fun fact is that one of my two golden retrievers loves to have a bath. This seems unusual for a dog to like to roll around in the soapy water like that but he does. There he is in slide two waiting patiently as if I were going to just pick him up and plop him in the sink during a photo shoot. But come to think of it, we should have done that. Next time, Jackson.
