Found a textbook buck bed. Freshly torn up rubs all around. Beat down trail heading in and thick as hell. Set up a @moultrieproducts trail camera in there to soak and see who the culprit is…. Time will tell 👀🦌🏹

I recently made these incredible turkey nuggets. They really lived up to the hype! The meat was white, tender and delicious. I would definitely cook this again. These nuggets hit a little different when you know the work, early mornings, and miles behind every bite. Grateful for the hunt, the bird, and a freezer full of good eating.
Would you guys eat these? 🦃🦃🦃

Finally tagged out on turkey season. A lot of early mornings and grinding through but totally worth every second of it. I’m already counting down the days until next spring. Ton of respect for these amazing birds. God is good, and there’s no place I’d rather be than chasing turkeys through the woods. 🦃🙏

🦃⚡️Thunder in the Timber ⚡️🦃
Hunter and a buddy slipped into the woods before daylight, chasing the kind of morning every turkey hunter dreams about. The air was cold, the woods still, and somewhere deep across the ridges a gobble shattered the silence. Then another. Then another. Three fired-up toms were hammering from far off, sounding like thunder rolling through the timber.
For hours the gobbles echoed through the hollows, close enough to keep hope alive but far enough to test patience. Every call sent back another booming response, but the birds wouldn’t commit. Still, Hunter stayed locked in, knowing one right move could change everything.
Then it happened.
A few soft calls drifted through the trees, and suddenly the woods came alive. The gobbles got sharper. Louder. Closer. Leaves crunched. Red heads appeared through the brush, and three toms came marching in on a string like they were tied together.
The moment felt unreal. Hearts pounding, adrenaline surging, Hunter and his buddy stayed still as the birds closed the distance. Drums rattled the air. Feathers glowed in the morning light. Every second felt electric.
When the time came, they laid into them.
One thunderous shot echoed through the woods, and one tom hit the dirt. The silence afterward only lasted a second before pure excitement exploded between them. High fives, laughter, and disbelief filled the timber as they stood over the bird, soaking in a hunt they’d never forget.
Some hunts are successful. Some are exciting. But every once in a while, a hunt becomes a memory burned into your soul forever.
This was one of those mornings. ⚡️🦃

They were hammering all morning but kept hanging up just out of range. Sat it out, stayed patient, and didn’t push it. Finally, three Toms broke and came in together, closing the distance slow and cautious. When it all came together, it happened quick. TURKEY DOWN 🦃🦃

Last spring was one for the books..Early mornings, echoing gobbles, and a season that reminded me exactly why I love chasing these birds. Every setup, every close call, and every success just adds fuel to the fire.

Now here we are again… new season on the horizon, and that same feeling creeping back in. The woods are about to come alive, and I’m ready to get after it all over again. 🦃 🦃🦃
