And this is why I have a problem, because Thursdays look like THIS.And the real problem is… I genuinely think life should look like this every day!

I went to @jojosshakebar Pumpkin Patch launch expecting a light casual event, and instead got hit with a full-blown fall sweet attack overload in the absolute best way possible. I basically ate my way through the entire fall menu: chili cheese fries, a smokehouse pulled brisket sandwich, mini pot pies, seasonal drinks, shakes, and the Fall Milk & Cookie Flight!

Listen… that mini pot pie specifically? It’s not a want, it’s a need for my next visit.

Also, no Detroit night out is complete without good people. Catching up with the girls from @detroitfinds313 was the cherry on top of an already elite Thursday.

Big thanks to JoJo’s Shake Bar + Detroit Finds 313 for feeding my delusional belief that everyday should feel like this! Make sure you book your pumpkin painting on @opentable and try the new fall menu.

A Scholarly Affair.

Had the sweetest time getting lost somewhere between the books and the looks. Had an absolute ball at the Creator Shoot with @micahshumake @socialnthecity @sntc.events

Everyone looked so good! I just love my city!

If there was ever a moment when I needed a reminder of why I love being creative, this weekend was IT.

The Creator Summit created by @socialnthecity was exactly the inspiration I needed to get back in my creative bag.

From every single panel, to networking, the Hostess with the mostess @pardonme.tv , to conversations with the people working behind the scenes, I genuinely walked away with something from EVERY speaker and every experience. The knowledge, the connections, the energy… all around 10/10.

I’m leaving this weekend inspired, motivated, and most importantly, READY.

So yeah, expect to see me.

Thank you @socialnthecity for creating a space that reminded me just how much I love this and that it’s attainable.

A little ASMR of my day.
—
They say creativity comes naturally. But what happens when the creativity stops coming? I know scary right!

I’ve been in a creative funk lately, and that has looked more like stepping back than pushing through. But I pushed myself to show up for this event The TasteMaker Room, and I’m so glad I did.

Shoutout to @chasedeniro for hosting such a great event! I’d never experienced live styling like this before, and I loved the concept, the energy, and the execution. 10s across the board. 🤎

Maybe I don’t have to know exactly what I’m doing next. Maybe I just need to keep moving.

I’m super late but still so Thankful so I’m posting it anyway! These are the rooms I prayed for. The rooms I want to keep building in.

From a beautiful event at Black owned @grandeurcru_ Bar to contributing my own column with @strutinhershoes , this is exactly the kind of community I want to be part of.

These are the rooms where I want to network, build friendships, create business relationships, collaborate, and be inspired.

The next Edition is coming soon! ✨ Subscribe to the Strut Box so you never miss an issue.

Here’s to continuing to STRUT in everything we’re called to do.
