Hey everyone! I’m raising funds for one of the most meaningful things I get to be a part of each year - a camp for kids in the foster care system, called Royal Family Kids Camp. This is year 9 for me volunteering with this camp, and it’s such a special way to pour into some of the most vulnerable people in our city. This camp is completely FREE for the kids (hence me requesting donations.) Our goal is to give these kids a week to just be kids again and to speak truth into their lives - that they (and we!) are deeply loved, created with purpose and dignity, and regardless of whatever happens in life they have a Father who is with them every moment of every day cheering them on.

In addition to the usual camp activities like swimming, archery, zip-line, arts & crafts, we also have:

- a big birthday party for all the kids (bc their birthdays are often forgotten sadly) complete with bounce house, petting zoo, magician, ice cream cart, DJ etc. AND birthday presents for each kid

- talent show complete with raucous cheering regardless of the performance (talents have included light-saber battles and eating cupcakes really fast)

- story & cookies with Camp Grandma & Grandma

- lots of music 🎹

- beach day with In n Out lunch

- each kid paired with one counselor the entire week for the most meaningful connection

- picture #5 is my camp prank last year 🦍

I could share many stories about how beautiful and impactful this time is.

If you feel called to contribute, there is a link to make a tax-deductible donation via PushPay through Reality LA church, and you can also venmo @ryan-whyman THANK YOU by @whymaniac
