and don’t forget to walk cycle to the polls November 3rd 😉

We’ve got some exciting news! We’ve teamed up with our friends at @walkcycletothepolls for a collab to vote for 🇺🇸 Animate a walk cycle of a character you made and participate in a video game event where your character will get featured alongside animation greats like James Baxter!

Important Notes:
- You keep the rights to your character 100%
- You have to animate it yourself, no AI 🚫
- For your character to make it into the video game experience, the sprite sheet must be submitted via the portal on the Walk Cycle to the Polls website

Join Production Technologist, Chris Vienneau, for the next session of our AI educational series, Data Analysis of AI, part of our Level Up event lineup.

This session will provide an evidence-based look at how AI tools are actually being used across animation, visual effects, and gaming studios today. Through a live data demonstration, participants will examine which tools are in use, how adoption varies across disciplines, and where reality diverges from hype. The session will also highlight what these patterns reveal about emerging skills and career opportunities.

This event will include a sneak peek at a WIA-member-exclusive AI data dashboard that we’ll release in a month or so. Stay tuned!
