Pickathon Presents Wilclone, Mars FM, and Rose Parade at The Showdown Saloon on November 20
Three Portland tribute acts, one night of legendary songbooks.

Wilclone brings the music of Wilco to life, celebrating the alt-country, folk-rock and experimental side of one of America’s most influential bands, with full-band takes on Wilco favorites that have been packing local rooms for years.

Mars FM takes on Neil Young, with the Portland duo of Zack Bauer and Zoe Larsen bringing pedal steel, banjo, harmonica and warm tube amps to the songwriter’s massive catalog of classics and deep cuts, filtered through their own psychedelic folk sensibility.

Rounding out the night is Rose Parade, Portland’s jazz-influenced Elliott Smith tribute. Formed in 2021, the four-piece reimagines Smith’s intimate catalog with lush harmonies, nuanced improvisation and dynamic arrangements, and was featured in 2026’s ‘Rose Colored Moon’ tribute event celebrating Smith’s music and legacy.

Twenty five years ago today, Wilco began streaming what would become their most well-known and most talked-about album, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. The album would officially be released about a half year later.

It’s an album made up of equal parts abstract mystery and classic pop sensibility. Somehow its eccentricities hold together as a very satisfying whole. The songs don’t fight each other, but elevate each other, and create a sum that is larger than its parts.

A handful of YHF songs have been regular staples for us. Tonight we’ll be bringing a few more of them to life for the first time. It’s exciting and challenging and will make a nice set, bookended, of course, by lots of non-Yankee favorites.

We hope you can join us at the one and only @albertastreetpub.

Doors are at 9, music kicks off at 9:30. Twelve bucks at the door. Maybe pre-game in the pub beforehand with fellow Wilco fans and make a new friend or two.

See ya soon,
Wilclone

On Sept 18 2001, Wilco decided they’d had enough of their record label telling them what to do, and began streaming their new album Yankee Hotel Foxtrot for free on their own website.

On Sept 18 2026, Wilclone will be celebrating that move, that album, and so much more. We’re even working up a few new YHF tunes for the occasion 😲

Hope you can join us!
