If you know me, you know I hate trends. I hate following the crowd. You will also know that I have a huge passion for the earth, the environment and its natural resources. You may also know that I really dislike technology, AI especially in the creative industries. So you may also have seen this AI trend of creating a picture of you in the 80s. One thing I am a huge fan of is nostalgia and advocating for the still photograph. So this 80s trend really irritated me in all the ways. Ironically most of the people I saw jumping on the trend actually existed in the 80s, just like I did. We don’t need AI to show us what we might have looked like then - we know! So I dig out the few pics I have of me from that decade to start my own trend (or not I don’t care). I’m the little one by the way ☺️. Swipe to the end to see my ‘Woofy’ who I still have in my bed every night.
If you want to see what you looked like, have a look through your old photos, go ask your Mum if you have to, I bet she would love to look at them too. Or recreate your own now - the 80s would have to be one of the easiest decades to play dress ups in and create something fun and unique.
