In the quiet understanding of an animal’s gaze, we find a mirror to our own souls
-a bond unspoken yet profound.

Our words, thoughts and feelings vibrate. You could think of them as electrical impulses from the brain and body. And your animals pick them up. So being aware of our energy can help our animals with their own energy.

I have been a Reiki healer for over 10 years and also someone that has had a connection with animals my entire life. working with Wolves for the last nine years and being an energy healer I have noticed such a deep bond and even even an instant connection with Wolves I had just met for the first time. some of these wolves that I am looking deep into their eyes I have had many years of Soule bonds and a few of them. I have only met for the first time.

Animals understand our energy, especially wolves. They are so connected to the earth and spirit that they consents our energy right away. I feel so truly blessed to not only connect with so many wolves at many sanctuaries but to be able to bring that energy to the wild Wolves in Yellowstone.

animal Reiki can be so beneficial to not only while animals, but our pets at home. I will be posting more about animal Reiki and how you can use it and I will be holding an in person class this spring as well as an online class on animal Reiki.

🐺🌿✨ Introducing The Wolf Medicine Method — The Seven Sacred Foundations

Throughout my life, I’ve had many teachers. I’ve studied the body, energy, spirituality, and holistic healing. But one of my greatest teachers was a wolf.

Her name was Lomasi. She was my Mama Wolf, my soul connection, and one of the most powerful divine feminine spirits I’ve ever known.

Through years of working with wolves, I’ve learned lessons no classroom could teach me.

Lomasi taught me that strength doesn’t have to be loud. That we can be gentle, loving, and peaceful while standing firmly in our power. She taught me intuition, courage, independence, boundaries, and the balance between nurturing others and protecting ourselves.

She taught me what it means to embody the divine feminine.

Through our connection, I found my way back to the earth, my spirit, and parts of myself I’d lost. She helped me find myself again. She helped me love myself again.
And from these experiences, The Wolf Medicine Method was born.

Through Wild Moon Rising, I weave these teachings together with my training and holistic healing practices in Seven Sacred Foundations:

🌿 Therapeutic Bodywork & Physical Restoration

✨ Reiki & Energy Healing

🌲 Nature-Based Healing

🌱 Herbalism & Earth-Based Wellness

🌙 Divine Feminine & Spiritual Practices

🐺 Trauma-Informed Healing & Personal Empowerment

❤️ Connection, Community & Belonging

Seven holds spiritual symbolism of intuition, wisdom, and wholeness.

These aren’t seven steps to follow. They’re interconnected foundations that honor each person’s individual healing journey.

Over the next few days, I’ll share what each foundation represents and how I incorporate it into my practice.

The Wolf Medicine Method isn’t simply something I’ve studied or created. It’s something I’ve lived, continue to live and practice every day, and something that keeps evolving through my work with wolves.

They were my teachers then, and they remain my teachers today.

And it all began with my greatest teacher, Lomasi

Massage isn’t just for people—even wolf pups enjoy a little pampering. 🐺❤️

Little does Freyja know she’s getting a massage from a licensed massage therapist. She just knows the service is excellent and sees no reason for it to stop. 😂

They even brought treats in for the wolves, and she chose to stay for her massage instead. If you know Freyja, passing up treats is saying something!

Apparently my massages are “give up snacks” good. I might need to add that to my résumé. 😂🐺

Our wolves? Spoiled? Absolutely not. Just enjoying their regularly scheduled spa treatment. 💆‍♀️❤️

🐺🌿 The Wolf Medicine Method
Sacred Foundation Three: Nature-Based Healing

Björn is a young wolf who is still discovering the world around him. Naturally a little nervous and cautious, he approaches unfamiliar experiences at his own pace.
His sister Freyja is often the more adventurous one, encouraging him to explore the world around them.

And sometimes, in those quiet moments, we get to witness something beautiful. Like Björn stopping to investigate a little patch of purple flowers. 💜

There is something incredibly special about watching wolves experience the natural world.

They remind us that we don’t always have to rush forward. That curiosity can exist alongside uncertainty. That sometimes the smallest moments can bring us the greatest joy.

Nature-based healing is one of the seven sacred foundations of The Wolf Medicine Method.

It’s about reconnecting with the natural world and allowing ourselves to slow down, become present, and experience the grounding energy of the earth.

Whether it’s walking through the forest, feeling the sun on your skin, listening to the wind through the trees, or simply stopping to appreciate a flower, nature offers us opportunities to reconnect with ourselves.
Björn reminds me that we can explore the world at our own pace.

That courage doesn’t always have to be loud.
And that sometimes healing begins with something as simple as stopping to smell the flowers. 🌸🐺

🐺🌙 THE WOLF MEDICINE METHOD
Sacred Foundation Two: Reiki & Energy Healing

Anoki was one of my most cherished wolf teachers and the beloved partner of Lomasi, my greatest teacher.

Anoki was a calm, gentle, loving soul. He was incredibly observant, and there was something about the way he would look directly into my eyes that created a connection beyond words.

Of all the wolves I’ve worked with, Anoki was the one I practiced Reiki with the most. I witnessed how he responded to the energy work we shared, and through those experiences, our connection grew even deeper.

But one of the most profound moments of my life came when it was time to say goodbye.
I was lying in the snow, holding Anoki close, looking into his eyes as the snow began to fall around us.

In those sacred moments, I was able to use my gifts as a Reiki healer to help guide him across the veil and into the spirit world.
There are experiences in life that words will never fully capture. Holding a wolf you love so deeply as he takes his final journey is one of them.

Anoki taught me that healing isn’t always about restoring the physical body. Sometimes it’s about offering peace, love, and comfort as a soul prepares for its next journey.

🌿 Reiki & Energy Healing is the second Sacred Foundation of The Wolf Medicine Method. For me, Reiki is a sacred exchange of energy, connecting us beyond the physical body. It is about trusting our intuition, honoring the soul, and recognizing that sometimes the deepest healing happens when we simply hold space for another being with unconditional love.

My relationship with Anoki was one of mutual healing. I offered him my gifts, and he gave me lessons that forever changed the way I understand healing.

Although Anoki is no longer physically beside me, I carry his spirit into every Reiki session I offer.

Thank you, Anoki, for trusting me, for teaching me, and for allowing me to walk beside you until the very end.

🐺🌿 THE WOLF MEDICINE METHOD
Sacred Foundation One: Therapeutic Bodywork & Physical Restoration

Meet Vilkas, one of my wolf teachers.

Vilkas is shy and reserved. He takes his time, observes his surroundings, and approaches when he feels comfortable.

Through working with him, I’ve learned something important about healing:
Trust cannot be forced. Readiness cannot be rushed. And everyone deserves to feel safe in their own body.

Working with wolves has taught me that trust begins with respecting boundaries, recognizing signals, and allowing each individual to move at their own pace.

For those of us who have experienced trauma, especially physical abuse, reconnecting with our bodies can be difficult.
I understand this personally. Through my own experiences with physical trauma, spinal injuries, and chronic pain, I know how frustrating it can be to want to feel strong again while your body needs time.

🌿 This first foundation of The Wolf Medicine Method brings together therapeutic massage, reflexology, restorative movement, and corrective exercise principles to support physical restoration and reconnection.
But it’s about more than muscles and movement.

It’s about trauma-informed care where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. Where touch is never assumed, boundaries are honored, and you have a voice in your own care.

Just as I would never force Vilkas to approach before he’s ready, I believe no one should be pushed beyond their comfort or readiness in a healing session.

Healing isn’t about someone else deciding when you’re ready. It’s about rebuilding trust in your body, in your own time.

Thank you, Vilkas, for teaching me the strength of gentleness and patience.

🐺🌙✨ The Power of Reiki Healing and Wolf Medicine

Ten years ago, my journey with wolves began when I was invited to offer them Reiki healing.
What started as an opportunity to share healing energy became something far more profound than I ever imagined.

Over the years, I shared many beautiful moments offering Reiki to Anoki. As he grew older, those sessions became especially meaningful, offering comfort, relaxation, and connection.

But something beautiful happened along the way.
While I was offering healing to the wolves, they were healing me, too.

Through Anoki and the other wolves, I discovered the power of Wolf Medicine. They taught me about intuition, resilience, trust, and connection, helping me reconnect with nature, my divine feminine energy, and myself as a healer.

Reiki is as much about receiving as it is about giving.

As a Reiki practitioner, I’ve had the privilege of working with people navigating cancer, chronic pain, trauma, and hospice and end-of-life care, as well as animals experiencing illness, aging, and discomfort.

Reiki is a gentle, noninvasive practice that can offer relaxation, emotional comfort, and peace alongside medical or veterinary care.
Healing isn’t always about curing an illness.
Sometimes it’s about finding peace in a difficult moment, feeling supported, or experiencing connection when words aren’t necessary.

And healing doesn’t always happen in a treatment room.

🌿 Sit beneath a tree, place your hands against its bark, and connect with the earth.

🐺 Spend time with animals, offering love and healing intentions while receiving the peace they bring.

🌙 Allow yourself moments of stillness to reconnect with your own energy and the natural world.

These experiences became the foundation of my Wolf Medicine philosophy and the heart of Wild Moon Rising.

My approach to healing is rooted in our connection to nature and the belief that reconnecting with the natural world helps us rediscover ourselves.

In giving, we can also receive.

🐺🌙✨ There is something sacred about reconnecting with the wild woman within.

October is a season of magic, transformation, and connection to the divine feminine. And who better to share that energy with than beautiful Freyja?

Named after the Norse goddess associated with love, beauty, magic, and feminine power, Freyja represents that beautiful balance of strength and softness, intuition and wildness.

This is the very spirit behind Wild Moon Rising, my trauma-informed restorative healing practice rooted in Wolf Medicine, nature, and the divine feminine.

Through massage therapy, Reiki, reflexology, herbalism, nervous system awareness, somatic practices, and restorative movement, I help people navigating trauma, chronic pain, and neurodivergence reconnect with their bodies, rediscover their intuition, and reclaim their personal power.

My approach combines physical wellness with energetic and spiritual healing, honoring each person’s individual needs, boundaries, and experiences.

At the heart of my work is The Wolf Medicine Method, inspired by the resilience, intuition, connection, and wisdom of wolves.

Just as every phase of the moon serves a purpose, every phase of your healing journey does, too. There is power in movement, beauty in stillness, and strength in honoring exactly where you are.

My mission is to create a space where you can reconnect with your body, nurture your nervous system, embrace your divine feminine energy, and rediscover the wild spirit within.

Return to your wild. 🐺🌙❤️

Behind every photo is a version of me I’ve been fighting to reconnect with.

The girl who felt alive in nature.
The girl who found peace behind the lens.
The girl who could spend hours in the wild and feel completely free.

After everything I have been through — domestic violence, trauma, chronic pain, and spinal injuries — there were moments I truly believed I had lost this part of myself forever.
But deep down, she is still there.

For me, wildlife photography has never been about taking the “perfect” photo. It has always been about connection.

As an energy healer and someone who speaks for conservation, the most beautiful part is being able to capture an animal’s soul and the connection I feel with them in that moment.

It is not just about the picture.
It is about the feeling, the presence, the energy, and the moment itself.

These moments remind me why I keep healing.

Why I keep fighting for my life back.

And why I refuse to let what happened to me define the rest of my story. 🖤

Some souls just recognize each other—no matter how much time has passed. 🤍🐺

This is Skully.

Skully was born with juvenile cataracts, which meant he couldn’t see or understand the world the way other wolves do. Since wolves rely so heavily on visual communication, he struggled in ways most couldn’t see. After surgery, he gained full vision in one eye and partial in the other—but he still experienced the world differently. Eventually, he found his own space… and his perfect partner.

I haven’t been able to spend as much time with the wolves this past year while navigating my own healing as an abuse survivor and dealing with health challenges. But when I saw Skully again after months apart, he came right up to me and simply sat with me—just like he always has.

Skully still gets overstimulated easily. And as someone who is neurodivergent and healing from trauma, I understand that deeply. Over the years, I’ve shared Reiki with him, and what’s always amazed me is how he meets me in those moments. When he feels overwhelmed, he comes to me, leans in, and allows himself to be held in calm.

And in truth… we hold that space for each other.

As survivors, safety can feel fleeting. But to be recognized, trusted, and met by such a beautiful being—it’s something beyond words. In those quiet moments, we are both healing.

We may feel different in our own bodies, but together, we see each other on a deeper level.

That’s the magic of soul recognition. ✨

Today I went to visit the Highland cows and take some photos. I haven’t been able to do a lot of Wildlife photography so I decided to go to the farm near me that had Highland cows which are one of my favorite animals. When I got there the visitor center staff who are absolutely incredible. Told me that if I wanted to get close to the cows, I could go into the barn to see the dairy cows. They told me that the Highland cows don’t come over to anyone.

I figured I was just going to enjoy taking pictures of them from far away and I was totally fine with that and then this happened. I have always had a connection with the animals and wherever I go, they come over to me. I almost started crying because they were one of my favorite animals in the world and two of them came right up to me. And then all three came over and stayed with me the rest of the time for two hours.

Our impact on this world is far greater than we often realize. Every life has meaning, every story has purpose—and none of us are here by accident.

As a trauma survivor, I carry my past with me, but it does not define my future. Every single day, I commit to healing—not just for myself, but so I can show up for others who are walking their own difficult paths. Healing is not linear, and it’s not easy, but it is powerful.
I’ve learned that it’s not about what happens to us—it’s about what we choose to do with it. Our pain can either keep us stuck, or it can become the very thing that fuels compassion, connection, and change.

If we can take our experiences and use them to uplift, support, and positively impact even one other life… that is our greatest gift.
You matter. Your story matters. And the way you choose to rise from it can change the world in ways you may never fully see. ✨
