This summer our team worked with Tucson Proving Ground for testing our car and gathering critical information like the forces all of our car’s parts experience. This collected data is what makes it possible for our team to run effective and accurate Finite Element Analysis on our new designs, which lets us optimize our vehicle for intense Baja competition🔥💪

You can build a Baja car safely or not at all 🛠️

This Saturday our new members got to learn safety rules across the shop and practice using equipment like our bandsaw and bench grinders! Then, they got trained on the basics of Solidworks to be able to design parts and understand the engineering process.

Join us any Saturday at 10:00am in our shop (AME N213) for our General Body Meetings, and check out our Discord for announcements and subteam meeting times!

Hello our lovely Baja Wildcat family. Today was the 4th and final day of comp. We started off really strong, moving up 22 places in the first 2 hours. Unfortunately the last two hours came with some trouble. The car tipped over causing the engine to flood with oil. After some work we got back on track, and made up some time. While packing our trailer we found our axle/leaf spring bracket was detached from the frame. However unfortunate, the Wildcats will work together to figure it out. Lots of thanks to SAE for the opportunity to race in New York! It’s been a blast 💗 by @wildcatbaja
