POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Here comes the hard news that we’re so bummed to have to share! This might come to you as a surprise but after so much thought and discussion we have made the tough decision to close WilderBites. It’s been such a wild ride but we had so much fun and learned a ton!

There’s a lot of factors that went into the making of this decision but one thing’s for sure is that we never wanted to compromise on our quality of sourcing. We know that so many of you have stuck with us for this very reason and we are so proud to have been able to uphold that quality all the way through! We’ll miss working with all of our amazing suppliers as majority have supported us since the start of WilderBites back in 2020! 🥹

Our lease is up at the end of the month and we decided not to renew it. They say 45% of small businesses fail within the first 5 years. But how can it be a fail when the community that you all helped us build was the biggest ✨WIN✨ in WilderBites history! 😜 We can’t thank you all enough for the love and support that you’ve shown us over the past 5 years! There’s just something so special about our #wilderpack that I don’t think we’ll find anywhere else. 🥺 taken in Richmond, California by @wilderbites_

Hi everyone! Steph + Kuri here! 🙋🏻‍♀️🐶

We can’t believe we reached 10K followers right before our 3 year anniversary, what a coincidence! 😱 I know 10K is just a number, but it’s much more meaningful than that. It’s YOU, the amazing individuals who decided to follow along our small business journey! Many of you have been with us from the very start but a lot of you are new here so this is the perfect time to reintroduce ourselves! 🥰

I’m Steph, a Japanese American, born on O’ahu, Hawai’i and was raised by my grandma. 👵🏼🍵 I love traveling, good food, swimming, hiking, backpacking, anything outdoors, with Kuri by my side!

Before WilderBites, I was a freelance graphic designer, and worked in the hospitality industry in San Francisco. I also ran a seasonal Hawaiian style shave ice biz (@alwaysalohashaveiceco), all while striving to be the best dog mom to @kuri.in.a.nutshell!

Kuri is a 5 year old Mini Aussie, and the Quality Control Officer for WilderBites. My passion for canine nutrition stems from my desire of the wellness and longevity of his life. As a dog mom, I always prioritize my education, and love to share and connect with others.

Kuri has been eating a raw diet since he was 6 months old, I have always been conscious about the ingredients we add to his diet, including treats. We witnessed the many benefits of a fresh diet, began making our own treats, and shared with friends and family.

In 2020, at the peak of the pandemic, I was out of work and unable to operate my other business. I needed a purpose, acts of service is one of my love languages so I followed my next passion. WilderBites was born! It all started in my kitchen, then a commercial kitchen, fast forward 3 years, we now have our own facility, a thriving community and a team of 3 people. A special shout out to our past and present ambassadors because we couldn’t have grown without them!

It’s been a wild ride and I am still learning new things every single day! Running a small business is not easy, let me tell ya, but there’s nothing I’d rather be doing than serving you and your pets ethically sourced, quality treats!

Cheers to YOU the ever growing #wilderpack! 🫶🏼 taken in Richmond, California by @wilderbites_

𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐥! 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐠 𝐛𝐨𝐰𝐥 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲?

Most day, this will be what’s in Dumpling’s bowl with changes in fruit and veggies daily! It takes 5 min. to make!
I love making a pretty bowl for him but that’s for me to be creative!
For him, it doesn’t matter! He just LOVES food if you see that’s crazy eyes!

Let’s talk what’s in the plate from @_viviscollection

Raw diet | @darwinspetfood
Pumpkin puree | @nativepet 🏷️ DUMPLING
Fish oil | @nativepet
Freeze broccoli | @shopdogged 🏷️ DUMPY10
Freeze dragonfruit | @shopdogged
Anchovy | @wilderbites_
Omega-3 | @dasuquin
Blueberries | local market

I rep some of these products but genuinely love them! It has a great benefit for him!

Soon it will be officially Summer!
While Dumpling and I are enjoying the blooming flowers around us, we want to give a shout out to the worker behind it! All bees and butterflies that have been working soo hard!

Let’s make sure we protect the nature by keeping the garden around the city and not using a weed killer which potentially kills them when they are trying to work

I love the inspiring theme from @enrichmentandchill

Happy Mother’s day! I am imagining Dumpling making this bowl on Mother’s day! He will put his face on the bowl and make me smile..

Inspired by @enrichmentandchill & my first @ollieb.good bowl creation!
I have alot of fun creating this bowl to look like dog face!

I always want to do a pink/ sunset bowl theme with this @shopdogged bowl! The shrimp is my color inspiration.

Then, when I started the photograph of the bowl, I have the perfect corner in my living room where I have a-lot of accessories I collected. I really want to photograph my favorite quote from the old wine bottle “ No one has ever become poor by giving- Ann Frank” - last photo
I have this since I start my career as interior design and it has been one of my core values.

Getting this out before spring ended! Inspired by how pretty my new bowl from @shopdogged with spring and my recent trip to Japan.

The cookie is from @cookiespettreat and they are Sumikkogurashi character.. they are cute but the meaning about the character is about introverts and character of a person who doesn’t like being in center of attention.
I feel like that when I started but thanks to @enrichmentandchill community to be super supportive, I feel like encourage to do more!

!!Disclaimer!! The lilies on the photograph are just a prop and toxic for the dogs and cat! My boi has no interest in flowers and plants around the house but not every dogs and cats are the same! I am lucky to be able to have beautiful arrangements at home without worry!
