The last week of our Interrailing adventure was spent in Bella Italia 🇮🇹 and what a finale.

We started in Verona, which completely stole my heart. Definitely somewhere I want to go back to. We were lucky enough to see the opera in the ancient amphitheatre which, fun fact, is actually older than the Colosseum.

Then a quick pit stop in Venice before heading south to Napoli, where naturally we took our pizza-eating responsibilities very seriously. 🍕😂

A day wandering around Pompeii was genuinely mind-blowing. It’s so well preserved and they are still discovering new bits. Absolutely in awe with the colours in the many frescoes too, def didn’t expect this.

Then down to the Amalfi Coast for some much-needed beach time, ridiculously beautiful views and pizza-making and limoncello tasting at the gorgeous Amalfi Heaven Gardens. Thank you @_lauren_aimee_ for the best birthday present ever!!!

And finally, Rome, because apparently we hadn’t had quite enough ancient ruins, beautiful buildings or carbohydrates yet 😂

I absolutely LOVE Italy. The chaos, the beauty, the history, the people, the food, the whole glorious lot of it. 🇮🇹❤️

And just like that, our Interrailing adventure was over. What an amazing trip and soooooo want to hit the road, I mean rails, again 🫶 by @wildidentity

Regensburg + Munich 🫶

Regensburg was such a nostalgic stop for me. I studied there and have so many happy memories of that time 🥰 Bizarrely though, it felt so much smaller than I remembered. Is that a sign I’m getting older? 😂

Munich, on the other hand, felt exactly as I remembered it.

Obviously we had to go to the Hofbräuhaus. Yes, it’s touristy, but it’s also a proper Munich institution. I’m usually not that keen on beer, but when in Munich …🍺

The next morning it had to be Weisswurst and Brezen for breakfast 😋 Yes this trip is as much about the sights as it is about local culinaries 😅

Such an enjoyable couple of days and I definitely want to come back at Christmas time.

Wow, Prague has changed a LOT in 30 years.

Last time I was here we were hanging out in the literature quarter, discussing the meaning of life and fully embracing our tortured poet era 😂. This time around it feels much more commercial, much busier and absolutely heaving with tourists.

It‘s still an absolutely stunning town though. Beautiful old buildings, towers, bridges, cobbled streets … at times it genuinely feels like you’re walking around a film set.

We also discovered some amazing restaurants, spotted the famous river rats, and I got to see the Mucha exhibition. I used to admire his work so much, so seeing it properly in Prague felt quite special. by @wildidentity

Ate my body weight in Schnitzel and Kaiserschmarrn in Vienna 😋, drank ice-cold Almdudler overlooking the ridiculously beautiful Karlskirche, and completely lost track of time standing in front of Gustav Klimt’s work in real life and unexpectedly Egon Schiele’s best work too (my teenage self would have been in total awe).

There’s something about Vienna that feels elegant without trying too hard. Grand, creative, cultured … but still really easy to just wander around and enjoy.

Could very happily have stayed another day or two.

But … Prague is calling 🇨🇿🚆 by @wildidentity

Amsterdam 🫶

Can’t wait to be back!!! Super quick stop but just enough time to soak up the atmosphere in Jordaan, go on a boat trip along the canals, enjoy great food … and simply having a great time.

Still not quite sure what to make of Brussels … I’ve only ever been with work before.

Feels like the town has a split personality, actually make that four 😂

Obs had to have some famous Belgian beer at the infamous Delirium pub, where they have over 2000 different types of beer and will make sure they find one you actually like, even if beer isn’t usually your choice of tipple 😅

Moules et frites didn’t disappoint either. Crazy 20h and now on our way to Amsterdam 🤩 by @wildidentity

Interrailing across Europe - first stop: Paris 🫶

Forgot how much I LOVE Paris 🥰 and soooooo glad to share this with one of my twinnies (wish the other one was here too!)

There’s something magical about wandering through the different arrondissements, each with their own personality and charm.

You can see how so many artists emerged from Paris.

I honestly didn’t want to leave but Brussels is calling.

Kumano Kodo … what an incredible experience 🤩

This ancient pilgrim trail had been on my bucket list for years, and honestly I’m not sure I have the words to do it justice. The energy of the place, the absolutely stunning nature, the peaceful silence, the shrines and temples hidden along the way … it’s just magical.

I chose the most iconic sight as my starter pic, the three‑storey pagoda at Seiganto‑ji Temple with the roar of Nachi Falls behind it, because it’s just so visually breathtaking. But I have to admit, I was even more taken aback by all the little wonders along the trail. The hidden shrines, ancient trees, tiny moss-covered statues … so much more to discover, I barely scratched the surface, time to plan another visit 🥰 by @wildidentity

Not sure where to even begin … I had the most amazing time in Japan and no surprise a gazillion photos on my camera roll. How about we start with the most iconic place - Mt Fuji 🗻

I must admit I lost a tiny piece of my heart there and can’t wait to return. The most incredible energy and just stunningly beautiful landscape.

I meditated every morning by the lake facing Mt Fuji, kayaked in front of it, hiked the hills surrounding it, cycled around the lake in front of it, and soothed my limbs in an onsen looking out to Mt Fuji (obs no pics of the latter 😅)

It’s even more stunning in real life than in pictures. If you haven’t been, I highly recommend adding it to your bucket list 💖
