Can’t quite believe I got this photo today...
Heard some chattering in the water and swiftly found 6 Dippers!! 2 adults feeding 4 juvenile birds.
An example here, which has now become my favourite picture of Dippers...
To those of you who have coined me the ‘Dipper King’, maybe I’m starting to believe you 😅 certainly got competition from @maxthompsonphoto though!

This big ‘eared’ moth was the third Black Arches I’d caught this year- after never having caught my own one before! Properly smart in all aspects, including their undersides which can show pink and black markings.

Busy recently meaning here has been quiet, but dozens of surveys taking me from Durham to Dorset, a holiday to Tunisia (with some great wildlife) for some down time and then straight back into Birdfair! Nice to see some familiar and friendly faces. by @wildlifewithsam

Hoopoe from t’other week in Norfolk with Jamie. Following up a report which not many knew about, not long after we had it to ourselves for all of 2 minutes. Proper bird!
