My final film for my time at roehampton, titled Enigma.

This film is a video exploring the inner workings of my mind, a video in conversation with myself but also the world.

Hope you enjoy! by @willa.13

processing, i made this video over a year ago to express how my approaching move home was impacting me and the emotional process that it took me through. i wanted to share and hope you find something that resonates ☺️
below is the poem written into the video
i begin to say goodbye
with hopeful knowledge that it is not final
i still grieve
years of remembrance spill all over the living room floor
how many more times will you lay next to me in my bed
attempting to trust the way of things
the outcome still stings
i look out at the strangers
all inhibiting this grassy patch
and i feel a sense of isolation
i hide myself in my headphones
in the words of others to accompany the loneliness
yet in this isolation there is freedom
i lay to look at the sky and cry
i do not feel uncared for but safe to express
no matter where the tears fall, there is sadness
i might as well be honest about it
as the name of home strips itself from where i sit
it transforms in front of my eyes
there is a sense of wonder that rushes into my body
the filter of fear dropping to show the truth
it’s always been enough
and no matter where i go that too will be more than i could ask for
i only feel at home in your heart
despite the profundity of seeing clearly
change undoes the seams of strength i have woven into my skin to survive
it all hurts so deeply
there is no more control
my resistance is creating suffering once again
embrace, i must, the unpredictability
submit, i will, to the tests of the universe
but not just yet by @willa.13
