@davievotesjacqueline ARE DEVELOPERS RUNNING CITY HALL IN DAVIE? 👀

We caught up with Jacqueline Rocha, a Resident First candidate running for mayor of Davie, at a beautiful location in town and asked her a question becoming a recurring theme across Broward County: Are developers running City Hall in Davie?

Her answer? YES.

At Broward Blueprint, we’ve been covering the growing debate over development, political donations, and who really has a voice in local government. From Hollywood to Pompano Beach to Davie, questions about developer influence and big money in local elections keep coming up.

Meanwhile, candidates advocating for a different direction, including those who say they aren’t accepting developer donations, are stepping forward to challenge the status quo and push for a more resident-first approach to growth.

But these candidates often lack the financial resources of their better-funded opponents. That’s where Broward Blueprint comes in.

We’re here to give these candidates exposure and give YOU the opportunity to hear directly from them.

Meet Jacqueline Rocha. Learn about her priorities, her ideas for Davie, and her vision for addressing overdevelopment while putting residents first.

If you’re interested in fresh perspectives, new ideas, and a different approach to local government, take a few minutes to get to know Jacqueline and what she hopes to bring to Davie.

Local elections matter. Development decisions matter. And residents deserve a voice in shaping their communities.

@davievotesjacqueline DAVIE DESERVES FRESH LEADERSHIP! 🏡

Meet Jacqueline Rocha, a business owner and Resident First candidate running for mayor of Davie, bringing a new generation of leadership and fresh ideas to the table.

When the same leadership has been in place for years, it’s fair to ask: Is it time for a new perspective?

Jacqueline believes Davie’s future should be shaped by the people who call it home. One of the key pillars of her platform is stopping overdevelopment and ensuring that when development happens, it’s thoughtful, responsible, and focused on residents — not just developers.

Davie deserves leaders who are open to new ideas, willing to listen, and ready to put residents first in decisions that will shape the community for generations to come.

At Broward Blueprint, we believe local elections matter. The people making decisions about your neighborhood, quality of life, and community’s future should be accountable to the residents they represent.

✅ A new generation of leadership.

✅ Thoughtful, responsible development.

✅ Fresh ideas and a resident-first approach.

Broward Blueprint proudly endorses Jacqueline Rocha 100% as a Resident First candidate.

Check out her campaign, learn about her vision for Davie, and make your voice heard at the ballot box.

It’s time for a fresh perspective. It’s time to put residents first!

@davievotesjacqueline DAVIE, IT’S TIME TO TAKE A CHANCE. MEET JACQUELINE ROCHA! 🇺🇸

At Broward Blueprint, we believe local government should work for residents. That’s why this year, we’re supporting Resident First candidates who are ready to challenge the status quo and imagine something better for Broward.

Today, we met Jacqueline Rocha, 32, a trucking company owner running for Mayor of Davie, and we walked away impressed.

We first noticed Jacqueline attending public meetings and speaking up. She recently opposed Hollywood’s beach overlay program to protect the beach from inappropriate high-rise development. She also appeared before the Dania Beach Commission to advocate for protecting mangroves amid the warehouse controversy.

She’s already standing up for Broward residents, long before asking for their votes.

Davie has enormous potential, from its equestrian heritage and small businesses to its educational institutions. Yet we believe it has not fully capitalized on its potential as a destination or innovation hub. Meanwhile, residents are increasingly concerned about overdevelopment and buildings that fail to reflect Davie’s unique character.

Our conversation with Jacqueline covered thoughtful development, supporting small businesses, celebrating Davie’s heritage, and exploring new ideas like an innovation festival. She was open-minded, enthusiastic, and ready to think beyond the usual political talking points.

Incumbent Mayor Judy Paul has held the office since 2009. Experience matters, but so does fresh perspective. After more than 17 years, perhaps it’s time to consider a new direction.

At Broward Blueprint, we want to help underfunded, independent candidates get heard. We believe social media can level the playing field.

Jacqueline Rocha has our endorsement for Mayor of Davie!

Davie, take a chance on fresh leadership, new ideas, and a Resident First candidate.

DAVIE: NEXT GEN. NEXT LEVEL.

@catudenforhollywood 🌊 CAT UDEN: A BREATH OF FRESH OCEAN AIR IN HOLLYWOOD POLITICS.

Anyone who has walked Hollywood Beach knows that feeling when the ocean breeze hits your face. That’s the kind of fresh perspective Cat Uden brings to local government.

We recently interviewed Cat on the Broward Blueprint podcast, and what stood out was her thoughtful approach to one of Hollywood’s biggest challenges: how do we bring our downtown back to life?

Cat has ideas for filling empty storefronts, diversifying the mix of local businesses, and creating a more interesting commercial environment that delivers greater value to both residents and tourists.

Hollywood needs more than another development proposal. We need creative thinking about what kinds of businesses belong here, what our residents want, and what will give visitors more reasons to explore, shop, dine, and stay awhile. Building a diverse business ecosystem takes vision, planning, and a willingness to think differently.

As a former schoolteacher, Cat brings a thoughtful, analytical approach to these challenges. She’s run for mayor, consistently shown up at public meetings, and helped inspire more residents to become involved in their city’s future.

She’s also running on a resident-first platform and says she accepts no developer money.

At Broward Blueprint, we believe local government should be about more than approving projects. It should be about creating a city that works for the people who live here, supports local entrepreneurs, and offers visitors something worth coming back for.

Cat Uden represents the kind of engaged, independent thinking that deserves a serious conversation in Hollywood.

@audrey4pompano RESIDENT-FIRST LEADERSHIP ISN’T A SLOGAN. IT’S WHAT YOU DO WHEN THE BIG DEVELOPERS COME KNOCKING.

At Broward Blueprint, we believe local government should work for residents and taxpayers, not simply developers.

One elected official who consistently demonstrates that principle is Audrey Fesick, Pompano Beach District 1 Commissioner.

Audrey has been a regular co-host on the Broward Blueprint podcast, joining us to interview candidates running for the Florida House and Congress. She brings intelligence, substance, and a genuine passion for her community. She doesn’t just talk about Pompano Beach. She advocates for its residents.

Consider the proposed Costco development in Pompano Beach. Residents had been promised a Publix, smaller shops, and a crystal lagoon. Instead, the proposal evolved into a massive Costco with 26 gas pumps. Residents raised concerns about traffic and the project’s direction, particularly with another Costco already nearby.

Audrey Fesick, Allison Fournier, and Beverly Perkins voted against the proposal.

That is what accountability looks like. It means listening to the people who live in a community instead of automatically approving a development because someone wants to build it.

These commissioners have demonstrated that proposals deserve scrutiny, taxpayer interests deserve protection, and residents deserve a meaningful voice in decisions affecting their neighborhoods.

At Broward Blueprint, we’ve seen Audrey’s commitment firsthand. She understands that growth should improve a city without sacrificing its character or ignoring the wishes of the people who call it home.

Our recommendation is clear: Audrey Fesick represents the kind of resident-first leadership Broward County needs more of.

Elected officials work for YOU. Never forget that. taken in Pompano Beach, Florida by @willcandis

@raskindforhollywood HOLLYWOOD’S NEIGHBORHOOD SIGNS: A SMALL PROJECT, A BIGGER PROBLEM

Sometimes, the biggest failures in local government aren’t billion-dollar developments. They’re the everyday details that should be easy to get right.

David Raskind, a newcomer to politics and a last-minute entrant in the race for Hollywood City Commission District 3, is calling attention to a problem residents have watched drag on for years: replacing Hollywood’s neighborhood gateway signs.

Take Hollywood Hills, right here in District 3. The process has reportedly been nearly seven years in the making. The original contractor went out of business, forcing the city to start over. Residents are still waiting for a finished result.

Then there’s Emerald Hills, where a new design was placed over an existing sign that still had its own retro charm. Instead of preserving that character, the city introduced a modern version featuring Hollywood’s new turtle logo. Raskind believes the result looks cheap and raises questions about the city’s design decisions.

District 5 has also seen a new vertical sign unveiled that has drawn criticism over its appearance.

These aren’t massive infrastructure projects. They’re neighborhood identity projects that should showcase Hollywood’s pride, personality and attention to detail.

Who is accountable when a straightforward project takes years and the final product disappoints residents?

Raskind isn’t afraid to raise questions others might sidestep. Residents deserve thoughtful design, responsible project management and accountability from the people running their city.

Hollywood homeowners carry a substantial property-tax burden. They have every right to expect quality service and value for their money.

Local government should be about more than approving developments and attending ribbon-cuttings. It should also be about getting the everyday details right.

Sometimes, a neighborhood sign says a lot more about city government than anyone intended.

What do you think about Hollywood’s new gateway signs? We want to hear from you! taken in Hollywood, Florida by @willcandis

@raskindforhollywood 🎙️ BROWARD BLUEPRINT SPOTLIGHT: DAVID RASKIND — HOLLYWOOD DISTRICT 3

We recently featured David Raskind on the Broward Blueprint podcast to give Hollywood residents an opportunity to get to know the candidate behind the campaign.

David may be a newcomer to local politics, but sometimes what matters most is having the courage to step forward when it counts.

His opponent, Alex Recio, could have faced little competition. David decided to run, giving voters a choice and an opportunity to have a meaningful conversation about Hollywood’s future.

We believe competitive elections matter. Public office should never be treated as a guaranteed seat. Candidates should have to earn the confidence of residents, explain their priorities and answer questions about the direction of our city.

This election comes at an important moment for Hollywood. Residents deserve leadership that listens, asks tough questions and puts the community ahead of political alliances.

Our conversation with David explored his candidacy, his priorities and why he believes Hollywood needs a new direction.

We encourage residents to watch the interview, learn about the candidates and make their own informed decisions.

At Broward Blueprint, we believe in accountability, transparency and results. We believe residents deserve a voice, and every election should give them a meaningful choice.

@schoolboardcervera 🎙️ BROWARD BLUEPRINT SPOTLIGHT: ADAM CERVERA | SCHOOL BOARD DISTRICT 6

Broward Blueprint recently sat down with Adam Cervera to discuss his background, his priorities and his vision for Broward County Public Schools.

A Broward public-school graduate, attorney and father of three, Adam brings experience in child advocacy, legal work and community service to the School Board.

💰 A WATCHDOG FOR TAXPAYERS

Adam has challenged district spending, including a controversial $2.6 million office lease that was ultimately terminated. Fiscal accountability matters when we’re talking about public dollars that should benefit students and schools.

🧘 EDUCATION BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

We also discussed the SEED program and the importance of teaching children skills that go beyond traditional academics — including mindfulness, yoga, healthy eating and emotional regulation.

Adam discussed the potential for community partnerships to bring more of these programs into our schools. It’s a conversation worth having about how we support the whole child, not just academic performance.

👏 Adam has also received support from education and labor organizations, including the Florida Education Association.

At Broward Blueprint, we believe in accountability, transparency and putting residents first. Our schools deserve thoughtful leadership, responsible spending and fresh ideas that help students succeed.

🗳️ Broward Blueprint endorses Adam Cervera for School Board District 6.

📅 Election Day: November 3, 2026.

RESIDENT FIRST. ACCOUNTABILITY ALWAYS.

@raskindforhollywood 🚨 HOLLYWOOD, MEET DAVID RASKIND! DISTRICT 3 HAS A CHOICE.

Broward Blueprint is building awareness around a last-minute entry into Hollywood’s District 3 City Commission race. David Raskind has lived in Hollywood for 14 years, raised his family here, and wants residents to have a stronger voice at City Hall.

He originally opened a school in Hollywood before relocating it to nearby Dania Beach. Now, he says he’s hearing neighbors’ frustrations about feeling ignored by local government.

His message? RESIDENTS FIRST.

David says connecting with residents should be easier in 2026. He would push to restore public comments on the city’s social media platforms so residents could directly share feedback.

But voters should also examine the connections in this race.

Alex announced his campaign a year ago with Mayor Josh Levy speaking in support of him. Commissioner Traci Callari also endorsed Alex. Both have been involved in the controversy surrounding 1301 Ocean Drive.

And we have documented evidence: Campaign-finance screenshots confirm that attorney and lobbyist Keith Poliakoff, who is involved with the 1301 Ocean Drive project, contributed $2,000 to Alex’s campaign — the maximum contribution amount listed in the records.

These are connections voters deserve to know about and investigate for themselves.

David’s late entry means District 3 voters have a choice instead of an uncontested race.

Hollywood, do your homework. Research the candidates, examine the campaign contributions, and ask questions about the future of our city.

Will Hollywood continue in the same direction, or will residents demand a new voice at City Hall?

🔎 FOLLOW THE MONEY. QUESTION THE CONNECTIONS. PUT RESIDENTS FIRST.
