🍇Fattoria San Donato 🍇 / Le Tre Sorelle e un cane

Back in April I made some wine labels for the wonderful Fattoria San Donato in Tuscany, which I was lucky enough to visit in person… Here with the sketch that started it all, and the two canine crown-princes 🦮 🐕‍🦺 . Grazie mille to the Fenzi family and @edhands for the experience — it was, as certain people have remarked, *delightful*.

🇨🇿 Šašek Foundation Residency 🇨🇿

A big děkuji to all at the Šašek Foundation for hosting me in the beautiful town of Tábor in Czechia; for the month of June these winding streets and belltower by the window were home. A special thank you to the Douša family for lunches, lake swims, cherries, cakes, and the best books.

It was fun to run some local illustration workshops, and a very peaceful period to develop a new book, which I hope to post more from soon.

A day that will always stay with me was visiting the archive of Miroslav Šašek in Prague, (photos 7-10) and being able to handle the original drawings of this illustration great. Thank you Stanislav and Tereza and all at Baobab for the experience, and a big thank you to @teetywoo for the original recommendation 💜

🧳 NEW BOOK The Suitcase -- out now 🧳

A chance remark about a suitcase scanner prompts a sequence of associations: a childhood memory of a boy climbing into a suitcase carousel; his Greek teacher mother; their once grand house; a suitcase lost on a train; a film crew dressing one city square as another; a lost luggage office in Moscow; accompanied by imagined earthquakes, floods and snowdrifts.

Riso-printed in 4 colours in a limited edition of 100, The Suitcase explores the beguiling pull of memory, and the strange patterns that shape it.

A pairing of new narrative comics by @charlotte.lilith.winkler and @williambgoldsmith Like a Mad Gardener and The Suitcase explore how memory and association can be visualised through graphic storytelling.

The original works on display in pastels, graphite, markers, acrylic paint, pen and ink, alongside risograph prints, sketches and reference material, explore the artists’ individual and shared production processes.

This exhibition marks the London launch of Like a Mad Gardener by Charlotte Winkler printed and published by @coloramaprint (2025) in an edition of 750 and The Suitcase by William Goldsmith (2026) risograph printed at London Centre for Book Arts in a limited edition of 100.
