Grateful for the team who reminded me that while I was slogging it out in corporate, complaining about sacrificing my passion and art, they were navigating the even more unpredictable landscape of the film industry.

Because of them, I’ve got friends in high places with six years more experience under their belts, ready for me to conveniently waltz back in 😉

But in all seriousness I’m incredibly thankful for the support, the inspiration, and the reminder of why I started in the first place. 🎬✨

Here it’s is in it’s entirety. Lots of thanks goes to @inky2005 for your amazing course (highly recommended) and to Luke Batterbury and @georgabyrne for putting this together for me in Iso! I honestly miss studio time with you guys and can’t wait to get back in to play! Just waiting for the ring of steel to ease and lockdown to lift! Who would have thought we would have had internal boarders within our own state! 🎙 🎙 🎙

Inspiration flows differently out here.

Location scouting for Billy and Jim — our latest short film.

Written by @williamjlee, the story follows the quiet heartbreak Jim faces while caring for his father, as dementia slowly takes hold.

This one is a true labour of love. We can’t wait to share more from the journey.

Endless gratitude to @anthonylittlechild @madelineclairefrench and @olivia_olley for pouring your hearts into this film. taken in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia by @williamjlee

Welcome to my page 🎬

Starting 2026 feeling grateful to be back on a few film jobs. Thanks for taking the time to follow @billyfilms_au.

This space will be a mix of production and acting. Somewhere to share the journey, goals, works in progress, wins, and the incredible people who make it all happen.

It’s taken me over 6 years to find a rhythm again (post pandemic), that supports the freelance film life. Watching so many talented people juggle it all has been a huge inspiration over the years — building a career that fits into life, not one that replaces it.

Grateful to be surrounded by so much passion in this industry. ✨

Thanks for my acting agent @tripletalentmgt who has stuck by me and continued to submit me. Hopefully this year will be the little nudge we need. Time to update that dang showreel! 😆

And to those who listened and responded to me when I said, I’m ready and I’m eager to give this another red hot crack!

✌️- I hope we get to meet along the way!

Red carpets, awards nights, and festivals are always a thrill ✨

It’s been amazing reflecting on these events and celebrating with incredible people and their achievements along the way.

But what excites me most now is what’s ahead!

Less revisiting past achievements and more focus on the future projects I’m building next. 🚀

Welcome to our extremely talented team @jesseleaman_ @anthonylittlechild @__sampearce and @madelineclairefrench! @billyfilms_au first short film currently in initial stages of pre-production.

Set in regional Australia, Billy follows James, a middle-aged son caring for his father, Billy — a lifelong horseman whose identity is slowly unravelling as dementia begins to take hold.

As financial strain forces James to rehome Billy’s beloved horses, moments of confusion, anger, humour and tenderness emerge. Memory loss, mental health struggles and financial pressure begin to collide behind closed doors, testing the bond between father and son.

This is an authentic rural story reflecting the quiet realities faced by many Australians — where pride and self-reliance can make it hard to ask for help, and where the emotional toll of dementia, Alzheimer’s and financial stress is often carried in silence.

Soon after my first year at acting school I landed the acting gig of a lifetime — playing bushranger John Dunn in The Legend of Ben Hall.

What started as an acting role quickly evolved into something much bigger. I was incredibly fortunate that the journey organically led to becoming an Executive Producer, working alongside some absolute legends including @justanotherbuleinbali @matt_holmes77 @rossangelo @michaelfavelle and @greg_mclean_.

This production remains one of the most unforgettable experiences of my career.

Here are some photos capturing moments from behind the scenes and on set during the making of the film.
