In honor of Carol’s birthday yesterday, here is a look at the work sponsored by the Willka T’ika Children’s Fund. 🌱

From supporting education in 4 mountain Quechua communities to projects that help children access more resources and better nutrition, there is a lot happening beyond our gardens in the Sacred Valley.

We’ll be sharing more in an upcoming YouTube video, featuring the people, projects, and community partnerships behind this work. 💚

Stay tuned!

The Spiral Garden is one of the Seven Chakra Gardens at Willka T’ika, associated with the Third Eye (Ajna) Chakra. 🌀🌿

In this reel, Carol shares some of the spiritual meaning behind the Grand Spiral Walk, while Angel, who cares for the garden, explains the work that goes into maintaining this special space.

The spiral is a reminder that growth does not always follow a straight path. Guests are welcome to walk the garden, connecting with the flowers or enjoying the views of the Sacred Valley.

Our gardens are tended by 5 gardeners, and Angel and his team play an important role in keeping these spaces healthy and beautiful. 🌱🏔️

At Willka T’ika, you’ll hear Quechua words throughout your stay. 🌿🏔️ Some describe Andean traditions and the landscape around us, while others have become part of everyday life at Willka T’ika.

Words like Apu and Kallpa are also the names of two of our beloved dogs, who many guests get to know during their stay. 🐕 And many names of sacred plants can be found in the names of our guest rooms.

We were filled with joy to welcome MC Yogi and his crew to Willka T’ika this August.

Here MC Yogi shares a bit about his experience leading a retreat in the Sacred Valley, from spending time in our gardens to practicing and meditating with his students. On August 1st, our Willka T’ika family gathered for an Andean Despacho to welcome the sacred month of offerings and gratitude to Pachamama. 🌿🙏🏽

Guided by our Q’ero, Don Benito, the Despacho brings people together to make offerings of flowers, coca leaves, grains, sweets, and other symbolic elements, honoring Mother Earth and expressing gratitude for all that sustains us.

This time, the ceremony was shared by our entire team, the people who care for our gardens, kitchen, guest services, retreats, and every part of Willka T’ika.

We are grateful to share this tradition together and to begin this special month as a community. 🌎✨

Aerial yoga combines traditional yoga postures with the support of silk swings, allowing students to explore movement, balance, strength, and alignment in a deeply therapeutic way.

Willka T’ika’s expansive indoor and outdoor yoga shalas welcome teachers and groups for classes, workshops, and teacher training programs throughout the year.

Whether you are new to aerial yoga or already practice, there is always something new to learn. 🌿
