School enrollment decline and closures, data spreadsheets and numbers aside - as representatives of the BVSD board, you could at least show some decorum. Multiple times now at these meetings you all have been asked to wake up, sit up, pay attention, and at the very least look at these families in their faces as you make decisions that will have major impacts on their lives. Looking at you specifically here Lalenia and Rob. And to say you looked everyone in the eyes? Bullshit.
Pretty cowardly to also run and hide for a break after making the vote instead of facing the families and children grieving, still in the board room.

Thank you Ana and Deann for your empathy, and speaking out on behalf of the families. For joining us in the board room during your break. For engaging with the community.

@anatemuofficial , I had the pleasure of being classmates with you, in the same very small second-chance high school. I believe you graduated a year ahead of me. Hearing you speak at that school was always awe inspiring. You have always been so strong in your convictions and advocacy, even in the face of controversy. The community built at that school is what I’ve sought out in my own daughter’s education and social-academic landscape. I have no doubt that regardless of “how long you’ve been doing it” you will never lose that empathy and genuine care for your community. I am so proud of you and how far you have come, and all you will continue to do. I think I can speak for all of the families impacted by this decision when I say I am so grateful to have you be a voice for the community. Thank you. by @witchbone

Finally got ahold of some of this army green leather dye that’s been out of stock everywhere near me.
Decided to try making Karloff a collar, and I’m actually very happy with how it came out! 🐾

For a functional leash collar I’d use rivets to attach the D rings but these ones are just more decorative than anything.

Here’s some of the process for my 2026 Pet Portrait submission for @trekell_art_supplies 🐾
“Every Little Thing”

RIP Scout 2006-2020
The night Scout passed he was acting off, and didn’t want to sleep in the room with me and Sequoia (who was one and a half at that time). I think I knew in my heart it was time, so we said goodbye. We sat on the floor with him and cuddled, and Sequoia gave him little kisses on his nose and babbled something along the lines of “goodnight Scout”, before she went to bed, and Scout passed in his sleep not much later.

The next morning my daughter’s dad came over to help me take him to get cremated. That was a sadness I’m not sure I’d ever really felt before. And still do, honestly. I think every pet owner has that one pet in their lifetime that just has a different kind of bond. A couple days later I went to get his ashes.
It was early June and pouring rain so heavy that you could barely see in front of you. I ran out of my car and into the building where the man working kindly gave me a box containing Scout’s ashes, a small tuff of fur, and a clay paw print. He offered to let me hangout if I wanted to wait for the rain to ease up but the clouds were dark and didn’t look to be clearing any time soon, so I thanked him and ran back to car. I placed Scout’s box in the passenger seat and pulled out of the driveway. I turned on the radio, which I never listen to but didn’t have the energy to find music on my phone, and Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds” started playing. And my car immediately filled with the intense smell of wet dog. I cried so fucking hard. But the very moment the song ended, the clouds cleared, the sun came out, and the wet dog smell faded away. I know that was him and that song was his last goodbye (he always used to cuddle with me when I’d watch I Am Legend because the dog scene made me sad, iykyk). So that song always reminds me of that movie and of him.

For his portrait I wanted to color the life back in to his milky eyes. And his halo to feel like the sun glowing after a rainy spring day. A reminder that every little thing is gonna be alright ☀️ by @witchbone

Last month I started learning leather crafting. Because I needed another meticulous hobby contributing to inevitable carpal tunnel syndrome 😂
Majority of my current tattoo projects are ongoing large scale pieces and I usually don’t post work-in-progress tattoos so I’ve been slacking on posting. So instead I’ll be posting some little side projects I’ve been working on. Here’s a little business card holder I made for @thundercvt!

I often pick up a lot of hobbies and invest 100% into them only to do one project and then set the tools on the shelf to collect dust. But leather work has managed to keep my attention span focused. I’ve been learning so much I never knew. Like how much time and detail actually goes into it. I have a much deeper appreciation for the artistry now than I did before and it is deeply humbling. 🙏🏼

Made these travel protection sigil bones for a couple friends of mine. I’ve got a ridiculous collection of bones to use so I’m thinking of making more of these with different sigils available at the shop. What other sigils should I do? 🤔
