This post took me some effort so please consider listening to these songs WITHOUT DISTRACTONS! Show some support & respect to the artists, who spend decades of hard work to make us happy! Much love & BOLLOCKS to A.I. slop and Spotify!

Winterfylleth - is my favourite band! I hold them very close to my heart because their music fully resonates with me. When I heard „Ensings of Victory“ in a top 10 Black Metal Riffs YouTube video, I instantly had to pause the video & check out the Band. It was love on the first listen and their music expressed emotions that I was searching for in extreme metal. They have a great sounding production & some of their songs are really catchy & epic! They also made a full album of acoustic songs, which are just as emotional for me; they helped me to cry (when I needed to) many times!

Alessandro Zangrando & Yasmin Williams – are my favourite acoustic guitarists! Alessandro’s music is always putting me in a calm & thoughtful state. His playing is very dynamic, expressive & he uses the whole guitar for percussive elements to create complex yet beautiful compositions. Yasmin is a shredder!
She manages to play so many fast notes in such a blissful sounding way! And if that is not enough, she explores with even more layers of melodies, sometimes on different instruments too!

Charlie Parra del Riego – Every guitarist touches the strings in a different way & thus has something like a „soul-tune“. Charlie has one of my favourite soul-tunes! Besides that, I simply love his compositions & song writing. Que bestia!

Savatage – It is a crime that Savatage is not mentioned in a lot of conversations about music! Listen for yourself, they are amazing!

Power Metal – I love me some cheesy, catchy songs about fighting dragons & other medieval fantasy stories! There are so many bands with different approaches / styles to express the themes of the genre.

Luk Hash – creates synthwave music combined with the sound of retro video game consoles. Most of the listed songs are from his most recent album „Home Arcade“. Check it out!

Uplifting Trance – It’s crazy to think about telling past-me that he will enjoy the hell out of electronic music one day! by @witchking1999

BASS REVEAL

I got this new instrument on the 20th of April on my Thomann Roadtrip!
It's an Ibanez EHB1005MS-BKF!

Because of the headless design it's SUPER lightweight and comfortable to play!

Believe it or not, the first song that I am learning is "U Can't Hold No Groove" by Victor Wooten.
It's a long-term project but fun to practice thanks to the variety of technique!

The fact that I play it on a 5 String is even more challenging but I will make great use of that extra low string in the future! hehe

If you are curious, why I am playing bass now I can reply with a lot of reasons but I decide to share an Album that you need to listen to:
Queensryche's "Operation Mindcrime"!

The bass sound on this masterpiece is what I am trying to achieve!

Imagine your favourite story coming alive in sound. What if its world, characters, or scenes were explored in a whole new way?

After a hiatus, our community came together to chat about all things music. I got really excited to bring back the Song Challenge (our regular songwriting prompts) - and so I did exactly that, for any of you looking for a little creative boost!

✨ Song Challenge 050: Sound Lore

Songwriting prompt:

Choose a recent favourite book, film, or game, and capture the feeling of its world, a character, or a specific scene in a new piece of music. Think about what instruments and arrangement styles would best represent your subject. What musical techniques can bring its atmosphere to life?

You’re free to reinterpret or reimagine the story in your own way. A Shakespeare opera in space? Yes.

🎶 How to share:
Post your song in the comments with a link (e.g. SoundCloud, Bandcamp). If you’d like, include a short note about your creative process; what inspired you, what choices did you make, or what challenges did you face?

📅 Listening party:
Join us on September 13th at 20:00 (UTC+1) for our Inner Circle listening party in our community Discord server - an inclusive space to share and celebrate the music we’ve made.

*** P.S. Comment ‘challenge’ and I’ll send you more info on the Patreon listening party, and our Discord where you can chat and collaborate with like-minded musicians from around the world. 🌊 by @witchking1999

30.09.2024 - Today I celebrate 10 years of writing music that means something to me! I am working (more or less) on a concept album that will include these very personal thoughts and melodies. Since it's designed to be very intimate I have decided to not share any demos or Work In Progress of this project.
I have highest expectations of myself for this project and I am looking forward to release "The Full Package" on the 30.09. on another year!
The photo has nothing to do with it besides the art for the project will have a black and white based design!

Felt cute, might delete later.
This was after a Bass Session at 1 AM.
I just wanted to pick up the instrument and immerse myself in an atmosphere and went with low notes and uplifting harmonics. I quickly fell in love with this style and you will hear it #soonTM!
I got 2 songs in the works already, that make use of arpeggiated bass chords and harmonics! by @witchking1999
