On my last visit to Iceland, I visited Svínafellsjökull for the first time. From strange ice formations and beautiful reflections to deep-blue icicles clinging to ash-covered dark ice, there was something fascinating around every corner. What a place!

It's always soothing to watch solitary icebergs in the lagoon as they slowly and gently make their way back out to sea. #iceland #jokulsarlon #glacier #nomadict taken in Jökulsárlón-Glacier lagoon by @withcarlex

In everyday life, I wander around to work, to run errands, to get stuck in traffic. In nature, I wander around to reach waterfalls, to walk along canyons, to feel free. #iceland #fjaðrárgljúfur #mögárfoss #nomadict #earthshotz taken in Fjaðrárgljúfur by @withcarlex

While most people chase the warmth, I’ve always found something comforting in the cold. There is a feeling that’s hard to explain about wandering through endless landscapes, surrounded by ice and water, and feeling at home somewhere you were never born. #iceland #nomadict #icelandscape #icelandnature #moodyphotography taken in Iceland by @withcarlex

27 years ago, I stood on a hill in Germany, waiting for the sky to reveal a solar eclipse. The clouds had other plans.
This time, I was finally able to witness it and even share that moment with the most important person in my life. #solareclipse #eclipse2026 #astrophotography #nomadict taken in Earth by @withcarlex

Wild landscapes feel even wilder with the life they hold.
Some of my favorite moments in Iceland weren’t just shaped by mountains or glaciers, but by the animals that call them home. #icelandnature #wildlifephotography #nomadict #icelandic #stayandwander taken in Iceland by @withcarlex

A short walk, a few wooden bridges, and suddenly the noise of the world feels a little farther away.
The path to this hidden gem was at least as beautiful as the waterfall itself, and the reward was a stunning display of sunset clouds drifting across the falling water. #iceland #icelandwaterfall #nomadict #stayandwander #icelandic taken in Hveragerði by @withcarlex

Most landscapes are admired from a disctance. Here, you can walk right up to the ice and witness centuries written into every crack and contour.
Some of the most memorable places are found when you choose the quieter path. #iceland #svinafellsjokull #nomadict #icelandic #icelandnature taken in Svinafellsjokull Glacier by @withcarlex
