May playlist 🌱🩷— made a fun funky playlist to mirror the artists from @foreverminefest link to listen in my bio by @withlove.lexia

Note to self 🌀Moving through May I have been trying to let go of negative/cyclical thoughts and feelings which are just that, thoughts and feelings that are fleeting, and really enjoy the moment I’m in while it lasts.

Satya is the second Yama, or restraint, from the Yoga Sutras. Satya is the practice of truthfulness and more practically, can be attributed through acts of integrity and honesty with oneself.

What does this look like in everyday life?
Recently for me it’s been taking people’s words literally and not adding my own assumptions to them. — it’s so easy to poke holes and add our own worries and projections into conversations, however learning to take what people say at face value has reduced a lot of that wonder and eventual worry over what they really meant when you can simply ask for clarity. by @withlove.lexia

Some fun songs from my April playlist! I don’t always teach the same playlist all month but this was a goodie. 🤍💛 May’s playlist has me giggling, kicking my feet 🤭 #yogaplaylist #kaytranada #withlovelexia by @withlove.lexia

Story time part 2! Drink your water every time I say “um” 🤭🌟 #storytime #chismesito by @withlove.lexia

Story time on how I began teaching yoga! Part 1/x??? Playing around with edits>canva>tiktok and having fun.

My practice thus far hasn’t always been linear or consistent but it’s something I have been able to return to time and time again when I need, and now I get to share that with others! CRAZY🌟 by @withlove.lexia

Sunday scaries can’t catch me if I’m moving🧘🏽‍♀️ by @withlove.lexia

Flowing until I think 10 minutes has passed. Clearly my body knew I needed longer on my mat!🤣 thank you @teeanafc for inspiring me to slow down a bit.

When I practice my sequences for class I’m always listening along with my playlists to ensure I’m getting what we need into a 60 minute format. This was fun just listening to my body instead🤭 by @withlove.lexia

Hi friends,

If we haven’t met, I’m Lexia (aka Lex), and I started teaching yoga a little over a year ago!

I have practiced yoga, sometimes not so regularly, for almost 15 years which is crazy to think of as that’s nearly half my life! This account will serve partly as a journal, to myself, and a reminder to those who follow along about the connection between yoga, as we know it in Western media, and how we can incorporate the other limbs of yoga into our everyday lives.

I don’t want to set parameters for myself or limit the type of content I’ll be posting. I won’t always post regularly or have the most eye catching content, but I promise to always show up as authentically me.

Some examples of things to look forward to that I’ll share here;
- My in-studio class schedule (@ CorePower)
- Playlists (you can use if you’re an instructor/or just listen for fun)
- Yogic history & philosophy
- FREE.99 in-person classes (more details soon🤭)
- Sequencing inspo
- Maybe a rant or ramble here and there

With Love,
