Today, we proudly recognize LTC Greg Thayer as he is inducted into the Bronco Battalion Wall of Fame.

LTC Thayer began his Army career as an enlisted Infantryman before earning his commission through Western Michigan University Army ROTC in 1995. Over the course of his distinguished career, he served in leadership and logistics positions around the world, including deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and assignments in Germany, Saudi Arabia, Honduras, Japan, and across the United States. He later returned to Michigan to help develop and commission future Army officers as Chair of the Military Science Department at Central Michigan University.

His career reflects decades of dedicated service, leadership, and commitment to Soldiers and the Army. We are honored to recognize a fellow Bronco whose legacy continues to represent the values of leadership and service.

Congratulations to LTC Greg Thayer on his induction into the Bronco Battalion Wall of Fame! 🐴🇺🇸

Think ROTC is only classrooms and PT?

Cadets take on hands-on training that challenges them physically and mentally while building confidence, resilience, and teamwork.

You don’t have to show up knowing how to do everything—you just have to show up ready to learn, push yourself, and trust your team.

Challenge yourself. Build your confidence. Lead from the front. by @wmurotc

Train how you fight. 💥
Cadets took PT beyond the track this week, tackling runs, buddy carries, low crawls, and 3–5 second rushing drills. Building strength, endurance, and teamwork one challenge at a time. by @wmurotc
