ISUZU D-MAX AT35 - przygotowany do czegoś więcej niż asfalt.

🔹 Lazer Sentinel Elite 9” @lazerlamps
🔹 oświetlenie robocze Lazer Utility
🔹 wyciągarka WARN @warnindustries
🔹 zawieszenie OME @arb4x4europe

No i w ten poniedziałek podsumujmy weekend pod znakiem Arctic Trucków ‼️💪🏻

Three weeks on the road in Scotland taught us that where you stop for the night matters just as much as where you go.

Travelling with our set-up gave us a rather wonderful sort of freedom. No rushing to reach a campsite, no fixed itinerary and, most importantly, no sacrificing comfort along the way. At the end of a long day, everything we needed was already with us - a proper place to sleep, shelter from the Scottish weather and the freedom to wake up somewhere entirely new the following morning.

That freedom does, of course, come with a few rules.

We always checked the signs before staying overnight, kept everything within the footprint of the vehicle and treated a car park as exactly that - a place to park, not a campsite.

Our set-up was even checked during the trip to make sure the sleeping area was accessed from inside the vehicle and nothing extended beyond its footprint.

A little consideration goes a long way: respect the signs, respect the surroundings and leave no trace.

And then all that remains is to park up, make yourself comfortable and enjoy waking up to another rather spectacular Scottish view.

This was the sort of weather that accompanied us for most of our time in Scotland - but we went there fully prepared not to let a bit of rain or a few midges spoil our adventure.

As they say in Scotland, there’s no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes. And after three weeks there, we’re inclined to agree!

This place has rather beautifully brought our trip full circle. We spent both our first and our final night in the UK here.

So far, we’ve clocked up nearly 4,350 miles and covered pretty much the whole of Scotland. We walked far less than we’d intended and changed our plans so many times that, eventually, having a plan became somewhat optional.

There was rain. Quite a lot of it, actually. But there was sunshine too, the most spectacular rainbow we’ve ever seen, a boat trip and seals, Highland coos spotted in fields, salt & vinegar crisps, and the obligatory Greggs sausage rolls.

Some places had been on the list for months. Others we stumbled upon entirely by accident - and, rather wonderfully, those often turned out to be the best ones.

By the time you’re reading this, we’re probably already on the ferry, making our way home.

It’s been quite the adventure.

We skipped the commercial Highland cow farms that have become a bit of a tourist attraction and instead kept an eye out for these wonderfully whimsical creatures out in the fields.

And they behave completely differently there. They don’t come wandering over to people expecting treats. They watch you with curiosity, but always with a certain amount of caution, keeping their distance and quietly sizing you up.

It felt very different from seeing cows that have learnt to associate people with food. There was something far more special about simply standing back and watching them behave naturally, on their own terms.

Definitely our favourite way to meet a Highland coo.

One of our favourite spots of the entire trip.

We found shooting lighthouses oddly satisfying, so this random pick turned out to be a good one. The most remote corner we made it to - just us, the seagulls and the sea.

The guy in the lighthouse kept flashing his light at us all night. Still trying to figure out what he wanted. Any ideas?

We couldn’t bring our Hilux AT35 to the UK without stopping by @arctictrucks ! 🇬🇧

It was great to visit their headquarters, take a look behind the scenes and see some seriously impressive builds up-close.

And what was the highlight? Getting behind the wheel of the famous Top Gear Hilux! ❤️

What really stands out about Arctic Trucks is that no challenge seems too big. Every modification has a purpose, and every build is tailored to meet the demands of its owner - whatever the adventure or job ahead.

A very special stop on our Scottish adventure. Huge thanks to Carrim for showing us around and making us feel so welcome!

Glen Docherty

This trip through Scotland looks a little different from what we had planned.

We’ve actually managed to stick to almost our entire itinerary - except for the days that were supposed to be spent hiking in the mountains. And that unexpected change gave us time to explore the famous NC500 instead.

So now we’re slowly making our way along the route, watching the Highlands through the windscreen and stopping whenever something catches our attention.

Most of the time, those stops look pretty similar: me staying in the car with a book, and Szymon disappearing somewhere with his camera.

Not quite the Scotland we planned, but sometimes a change of plans takes you somewhere you wouldn’t have seen otherwise.

Dunbeath Caves

Scotland has some seriously beautiful beaches - especially along the west coast. Wild, quiet and often completely empty. Definitely not the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Scotland, but one of our favourite surprises so far.
