The big ting! And a little tease…

“Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire”, a Disney+ Original ten-part collection of original animated short films is set to premiere exclusively on Disney+ later this year.

#kizazimotogenerationfire has consumed my life for the past three years and I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s unreal to think @spoekmathambo and my short “Surf Sangoma” is on this line up of exceptional films. Thank you to the teams at @triggerfishanimationstudios and @disneyplus for making this happen.

To my directing and writing partner @spoekmathambo … you are a creative mastermind. Mad respect and love for you. @t_r_nc_ for making this happen. No words.

The action-packed animated sci-fi anthology presents ten futuristic visions from Africa, inspired by the continent’s diverse histories and cultures. A new generation of animation creators draw on uniquely African perspectives to imagine brave new worlds of advanced technology, aliens, spirits, and monsters.

The ten creators span the length and breadth of Africa and include Ahmed Teilab (Egypt), Simangaliso “Panda” Sibaya and Malcolm Wope South Africa), Teand Isaac Mogajane (South Africa), Ng’endo Mukii (Kenya), Shofela Coker (Nigeria), Nthato Mokgata and Catherine Green (South Africa), Pious Nyenyewa and Tafadzwa Hove (Zimbabwe), Tshepo Moche (South Africa), Raymond Malinga (Uganda) and Lesego Vorster (South Africa)

Oscar®-winning director Peter Ramsey (“Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse”), Tendayi Nyeke and Anthony Silverston all serve as executive producers. Triggerfish is the lead studio for the anthology, working in collaboration with animation studios across the continent and globally. by @wolfeyebrows
