We are pleased to share these portraits of two ‘Bangasayusang’ (gilt-bronze Pensive Bodhisattva, Korean National Treasure No.78, No.83), photography by @jjpous and @emmanuelwolfs for the permanent exhibition <A Room of Quiet Contemplation> at the National Museum of Korea. It was a great honor and privilege to have access to such important masterpiece of Korean culture. This was also the first-time collaboration between Jean-Julien Pous and Emmanuel Wolfs, joining their artistic sensitivities of a film director and a sculptor. In addition to the photographs, two video installations are presented in the museum. (Video works directed by Jean-Julien Pous, in collaboration with Emmanuel Wolfs & JJ. We are participating in the group exhibition 《Archaeology of the Present (현재의 고고학)》, opening August 6th at the France Art Space inside the Goeun Museum of Photography in Busan. Bringing together 16 French and Francophone artists living in Korea , this exhibition explores and records our rapidly shifting contemporary landscape as if excavating an ancient archaeological site. 💛🖤 Some of our friends and visitors may have wondered where to locate the ‘tree works’(photo2) at the exhibition - as our moon jar appeared on some of the artist introduction pages. The current exhibition <Decor Decor: Living Room Arcade> includes my textile-based abstract compositions only; yet you may find some of @wolfs_jung ‘s sculptural tree work images In the @elledecorkorea Book Winter Edition as well as accompanied @cartier booklet.
