As an educational strategist, educator, and mother, I created WonderBoxed to solve a critical challenge: the lack of accessible, engaging, and affordable STEM education for children ages 2–13. I've seen firsthand how many kids struggle with or dislike math and science because it feels abstract, and most existing programs solely focus on engineering and technology, often neglecting the foundational fun of true science and math exploration. I know the most effective way to learn is by doing. WonderBoxed is a mobile STEM field trip service that brings all the material directly to you—schools, preschools, camps, community centers, and private events. Our project based-led sessions transform any space into a dynamic learning lab, merging all aspects of STEM with creative, messy play. We don’t just prepare children for the next test; we equip them with the problem-solving, critical thinking, teamwork, and adaptability skills they need for careers that may not even exist yet. 🚨 BIG NEWS, FLORIDA! 🎉 What started as a vision to make hands-on STEM education more accessible to children and families is growing and we are beyond excited to announce that Wonder Boxed Community STEM Club is expanding to SIX Florida cities! 🎉 📍 Lakeland 📍 Auburndale 📍 Haines City 📍 Tampa 📍 Broward 📍 Miami And this expansion is possible because of the incredible support of the @velaorg Education Fund 💙 The VELA Fund grant is helping Wonder Boxed take our mission beyond one community and bring STEM enrichment, hands-on learning, innovation, creativity, problem-solving, and community-based educational opportunities to even more children. This is bigger than adding cities. This is about expanding access. Creating opportunity. Igniting curiosity. Building confidence. We’re honored to announce that Wonder Boxed STEM Education Inc. is an official recipient of a grant from VELA Education Fund 🎉 VELA Education Fund invests in everyday entrepreneurs and innovative education models that are reimagining how children learn—especially outside of traditional systems. Their mission is to support bold, family-centered solutions that expand access and opportunity for learners. This grant will help us continue building hands-on STEM and literacy experiences for children and families through our summer program, community STEM clubs, Pop Up STEM Club, kitchen science, and learning co-ops and microschool innovation. Our scholars were ELECTRIC at GTE Academy! 🤪🤪 We loved seeing our students light up—literally and figuratively—during our hands-on Electricity & Circuits STEM Lab with Wonder Boxed! Throughout this experience, our scholars walked away with more than just a fun STEM activity. They learned how to: 🔌 Build and complete a circuit and understand what makes electricity flow ⚡ Identify conductors and insulators and test which materials allow electricity to pass through 💡 Problem-solve when a circuit didn’t work and make adjustments to find a solution 🧠 Make predictions, test ideas, and observe results like real scientists ✨ Understand static electricity and explore how electrical energy behaves 🤝 Collaborate and communicate while working through hands-on challenges with their peers Most importantly, our scholars experienced that science isn’t just something you read about—it’s something you can build, test, explore, and understand for yourself. WE DID IT, SOUTH FLORIDA! 🎉 The STEM club you’ve been asking us for is officially here! For the past year, our South Florida families have been asking for something permanent instead of our occasional pop-up STEM experiences—and this Saturday, we finally made it happen! 💙 Through our partnership with @hopeunited, we kicked off our newly launched monthly STEM Club in South Florida, and what a way to start! Our SFL Facilitator, Marielle, led an AMAZING STEM Lab she coined Math-O-Licious, creating a hands-on experience where students could explore math through creativity, problem-solving, and FUN! Because this is what we believe at WonderBoxed: STEM should be more than worksheets and vocabulary words. Kids should have opportunities to investigate, create, problem-solve, and experience the concepts they’re learning. We are SO thankful for our SFL Facilitator and the heart, creativity, and dedication she brings to helping push the vision of WonderBoxed forward and serving South Florida families. 🥹💙 And this is only the beginning.
