I remember swimming in the Alwaye river and then sitting at the toddy shops and eating fried legs (Thavala Kaal)...and then having them at a famous 'corner' restaurant in Goa where it was in the menu as 'jumping chicken'...these ones are much much smaller and barbecued on a skewer...

Arunachal Pradesh has around 58 species of bamboo...this one is called Bambusa tulda and is used by the Apatani tribe to make flutes that are played during festivals...a lot of it is exported ...

Met Aayo today. She is from the Apatani tribe. This grandma welcomed us into her house, which is in a little alleyway in the village. It had a hearth in the centre and skulls of Mithuns (a semi-domesticated Ox) adorning the walls of the wooden structure.

What an astonishingly beautiful place to have a music festival... exquisite atmosphere... vibe... ambience. A surge of energy that only being amidst nature can provide...the first video is Shakthisree Gopalan and the second Apoorva Krishna performing at the Sun stage that has acts from 1pm to sundown at 5pm...then the action shifts to the main stage. The canopies of both stages are built from bamboo and bamboo leaves...all tied together with strips of cotton fabric as well as coir rope. The Sun stage has no lights and uses the rice fields behind as its backdrop... sublime...
