More from the Lincoln Project today—and quite possibly everyone’s favorite room in the house: the library.

We wanted this room to feel a little moodier and more enveloping than the rest of the home. The deeper color is a richer take on tones carried throughout the house, giving the library its own identity while still feeling connected to everything around it.

The woodwork and rolling ladder bring a sense of craftsmanship and permanence, while the doors allow the room to feel tucked away and intimate. But what really makes it are the books. The clients sourced hundreds of vintage books, choosing ones they would actually want to pull from the shelves and read, giving the room the collected, authentic feeling we envisioned from the beginning.

It’s a small room that became one of the most loved spaces in the house 💙

Golden hour, any time of day. ✨💡
There is nothing like the warm, storied glow of a vintage brass urn lamp. This piece defines elegance, featuring a weighted solid brass base with a classic neoclassical urn silhouette. 🏛️
The Details that Make the Piece:
* The Silhouette: A timeless “trophy” or urn-shaped body that adds instant architectural height to any side table or console.
* The Shade: A stunning scalloped-edge bell shade with vertical pleating, finished with a delicate braided trim.
* The Patina: Genuine vintage wear that tells a story—this isn’t a modern replica, it’s the real deal with a rich, authentic finish.
Styling Tip: Pair it with a stack of old linen-bound books and a small tray for your favorite trinkets to create a curated, collected look.
