Currently living in a house with no back, different tradesmen daily (totally fine cos they’re a good bunch but stop asking me where things are or if you can disconnect that cos I have no idea) a bank account that cries every time the phone rings and a toddler who seems completely unbothered by the fact we’re basically living on a building site 🫠😂

They say building your dream home is worth the stress… ask us again when we have walls, a roof and a kitchen that isn’t a picnic table with an air fryer and coffee machine on it 🤣🧱

Character building? More like character assassination. 🥲🔨

Nothing like deconstructing your house and putting it all back together again in a different order🏚️🏠 #homerenovation #renovation #ukrenovation #countryside #modernorganic by @workingonwestland

Something other than bricks and rubble, we were so lucky to cop a cancellation at the beautiful @cap_rocat on our recent visit to Mallorca. Such a stunning place and feel extremely lucky to have experienced it🐟🪸🌅🌊🤍 being picked up in a golf cart and taken to a table in a private cove overlooking the sea was something special ✨#mallorca #caprocat #summer #luxurydining (no food pics as you weren’t actually allowed your phone😆) by @workingonwestland

Well… there’s no going back now 🏡
The back of the house is officially gone and footings are going in. We’re getting ready to rebuild! 🧱🔨
Just casually turning the garden into a building site and just hoping for the best! Forever grateful for the boys 🖤#homerenovation #ukrenovation #kitchentransformation #homeaccount #demolition by @workingonwestland

If I hear “it’ll all be worth it” once more this week🥴🤦🏼‍♀️ #homereno #homerenovation #extensions #firsttimemum #renovatingwithtoddlers by @workingonwestland

There’s something I secretly love about finding little boy toys in the most random places around the house. A tractor in the hallway, a dinosaur on the stairs, cars tucked under the sofa…

One day the house will be tidy and these little treasures won’t be scattered everywhere, and I know I’ll miss it terribly. So for now, I’m just soaking it all in and feeling so grateful for this little boy and the beautiful chaos he brings🤍#boymum #homerenovation #toddler #renovationproject by @workingonwestland

A lot has been happening behind the scenes lately… 🔨

Unfortunately, it doesn’t make for the most exciting Instagram content unless you’re into crumbling bricks, piles of rubble, and a completely ruined lawn! 😅

We’re slowly ticking off all the unglamorous groundwork and the exciting transformations are getting closer now, and we can’t wait to start sharing them.

Watch this space… exciting times ahead! 🤍 but for now here’s a recent trip to Cornwall 🌊 by @workingonwestland

I’ve completely fallen in love with this palette of Farrow & Ball colours paired with Quorn stone “hambleton beige” flooring and stone internal Cotswold stone cladding.

Soft, earthy tones that create the perfect modern farmhouse feel—organic, clean, cosy and effortlessly calm 🌳🧺🤍 #farrowandball #farrowandballshadedwhite #farrowandballfrenchgrey #farrowandballbone #quornstonehambletonbeige by @workingonwestland

REAR EXTERIOR

A few exciting milestones this week… We’ve officially booked in our handmade Accoya bifold doors and gable-end window with a local joiner, chosen the natural stone for the rear elevation, and are now waiting on render samples before making the final call.

A steel price has come back (yikes) so that’s in early stages and my dad and Liam have spent time setting out and looking at levels, thank god groundwork is both of their livelihoods because I haven’t a clue what’s going on there!

Meanwhile, the interiors are coming together too, with the kitchen, utility, boot room and downstairs WC colour schemes are almost finalised.

It’s going to be some time yet but I can’t wait to see everything start taking shape👷🏼‍♀️🚧🧱 by @workingonwestland
