A lot has been happening behind the scenes lately… 🔨

Unfortunately, it doesn’t make for the most exciting Instagram content unless you’re into crumbling bricks, piles of rubble, and a completely ruined lawn! 😅

We’re slowly ticking off all the unglamorous groundwork and the exciting transformations are getting closer now, and we can’t wait to start sharing them.

Watch this space… exciting times ahead! 🤍 but for now here’s a recent trip to Cornwall 🌊

BAKHAR NABIEVA | LEG & GLUTE GROWTH

Our main goal right now is to add more size to Bahar’s legs and glutes.

Personally, I think she already has great muscle development, but an athlete’s goals are an athlete’s goals! So we’re putting in the work to help her build even more muscle in her legs and glutes, and we’ll be sharing her training sessions with you.

The training program is relatively simple, with what I would call moderate volume.

Bahar currently trains legs three times per week.

Today’s workout:

1. Leg Press
2. Smith Machine Bulgarian Split Squats
3. Hip Thrusts — 2 sets total: 1 with a pause at the top and 1 with a resistance band around the thighs
4. Lying Hip Abductions (Gluteus Medius)

We’re currently doing 3 sets per exercise, except for hip thrusts, where we do only 2 sets in total.

We’re testing this training volume to see how well she recovers and progresses. If it turns out to be too high, we may reduce some exercises to 2 sets.

If you haven’t made this one yet, consider this your reminder to MAKE IT!!! The crispy, crunchy, salty & savory potato salad w/pickles & dill is one of the best you’ll ever have. We’ve shared it before, and we were craving it.

I’ve said it before, and I’m saying it again… remove the bone from a skin on chicken thigh, it makes a world of difference in how you enjoy the dish. I will never stop doing this now that I started. It is an absolute game changer and levels of the entire meal! Please try it !

Sometimes we make our own BBQ sauce, but when we don’t have enough time, your favorite will do definitely work. I like a sweeter barbecue sauce for this since there’s so much savory in the potato salad. There is no question that this will knock it out of the park for you ! Let us know what you think!!

BBQ Chicken & Crispy Smashed Potatoes w/Dill Pickles

2 lbs mini baby potatoes, scrubbed
3 scallions, diced
Olive oil + salt

Place whole mini potatoes on a sheet pan. Drizzle generously with olive oil + salt and toss to coat. Roast at 425°F for 30 mins until fork tender.

Remove from oven and smash each potato with the bottom of a glass. Drizzle with more olive oil so all the edges get crispy. Return to oven for about 20 mins, flip, and continue roasting until deeply golden and crispy on both sides.

Dressing:
¾ cup Greek yogurt
½ cup kewpie mayo
2 tsp Dijon
Juice ½ lemon
2 tsp red wine vinegar
1 garlic clove, minced

Toss warm crispy potatoes with dressing, ¼ cup fresh dill, 2 tbsp chives, 6 minced pickles, 1 finely chopped shallot, salt + pepper. #bbq #chickensalad #pickles #crispypotatoes #smashedpotatoes
