My mother died from cancer when I was young. This, obviously, had a huge impact on my life. So to be asked to create artwork for a book that teaches people how to deal with cancer felt personal and important.

The author and I wanted cover artwork that did not hide from the struggle that an ordeal like this can bring. But also we wanted to show that there is hope as well.

A massive thank you Wiley and Jennifer Kilkus for the collaboration. by @worksofhill

🎃 To celebrate Halloween I thought I would post my alternative Frankenstein 1931 poster. Having researched the story, play and film, I decided to put the main focus on the single moment when the monster felt a sense of happiness and acceptance, but with the tale of horror in the background. I have included complex symbolism of life, death, rebirth and foreboding with the placement of the butterflies and ravens, while placing Easter eggs all over.

Let me know what you think and as always like, love, follow and share. Thanks so much for the support.

I reedited a very old piece I made years ago. Superboy, I love the mythos behind the hero Superman and particularly liked the stories about him growing up in the country on a farm (much like myself) and dreaming of leaving for exploration and discovery. While dealing with the fact that he is unlike everyone else he meets.
I wanted to create an image that captures all of those themes, isolation, want, need to explore and test oneself and impending change. by @worksofhill

The IGI held our second visit to the National Gallery to have a special viewing of some original Harry Clarke pieces. Then coffee, we took in the Rembrandt to Matisse exhibition and then some of us enjoyed a glass of wine in Note. A great evening. Thank you to everyone who joined. by @worksofhill

Incredibly saddened to hear about the passing of @glenhansard . Myself and friends would go see the Frames or Glen himself nearly every week back in my early 20s. He would always be up for a pint and laughs after the gigs. Great times.
I was lucky enough to work with him 20 years later on his and @marketa_irglova for their @swellseasonofficial tour poster of the US. Still one of my favourite pieces.
His music, his stories and himself will be remembered forever.

The Illustrators Ireland Summer Picnic was great craic. Massive thank you to all the members who came out, brought food, played games and had a laugh. I think the final count was 25 members attending, which is a great start. Next picnic will be even bigger.

See you all at the next event and thank you to everyone for coming and to the board for all the help organising. by @worksofhill

I was asked to create something striking for a new label for @galway_bay_brewery i told them I had an idea where and astronaut is being sacked through a wormhole and encounters a white dove. They loved it. by @worksofhill

I am working on a children's book and I travelled down to Kilkenny to do some research for it. I got to climb up to the belfry of St Canice's Cathedral, lear about it's history and see the bell ringers in action. It was fantastic. by @worksofhill

With parts of the world echoing a possible prelude to and some are committing the events depicted in this film I thought I would share this again.

The piece I illustrated for The Zone of Interest film is a warning. I find a lot of my personal work lately are becoming warnings. History moves in cycles, these cycles give us as a race the opportunity to learn and create a better future for ourselves. I am always shocked at how we continually make the same mistakes over and over. by @worksofhill
